The CALM Act, (Commercial Advertisement Loudness Mitigation) act is scheduled to be implemented soon. The law was passed last year by congress because some television commercials are annoyingly loud. Is there no limit to government intrusion on business?
How many new government employees have been hired, and what new task force has been formed to administer and oversee this new regulation to fine and punish advertisers for being annoying?
It used to be simple for me, I would change the station with a thumb press, or if they were really offensive, make a mental note to myself not to buy their products.
Life was very simple. Not anymore.
