Hello, I am moving to Akron in a few days, but have been in Ohio for a few years now. I want to be involved, but feel like I need to be more active in the community. Are there any events that I can attend? I am going to check the websites listed, but wanted to ask here first. I am going to be checking things out a little out a time, but feel free to contact me with any questions regarding anything, literally.

I am starting at the University of Akron this fall for a political science degree. I already have my associate degree from Cuyahoga Community College, so I only have a few more years of school left. I hope to be of some service to the community. We all need someone to help us along the way, but there will be none to help if no one is willing to step up; that is what I am trying to do, now.
