(reposting my post as this post disappeared from my timeline) Today is day 12 I awoke hoping November 6 was just a nightmare. Sadly that hope fades as the cloud of sleep dissipates and I awaken, sipping a cup of hot coffee. Also thoughts..Wiemar Republic, how vulnerable our youth are to a Dictatorship. College kids and Occupy carrying posters of and wearing on t shirts likenesses of Murderous Dictators, like Che Guevara, Mao Tsetung and Adolf Hitler. Ferdinand Marcos’ excesses when he ruled the Philipines. Oliver Stone recently telling the American public that China never had a violent history, Obama’s ”Forward” logo. As children, my grandparents emigrated here from China to escape severe poverty, a poverty that was the end result of Chairman Mao Tse Tung’s Communist policies. Historically, Mao Tse Tung’s ”Great Leap Forward”, Communism and National Opium Addiction enabled the great nation of China to eventually fall…sound familiar? In China my predecessors frequently went hungry and had to beg for food as children. Coming to America was their Great Hope. As immigrants and then proud American citizens, they were able to work hard until they became multimillionaires, starting with remodeling their first home by hand, which grew until they developed and built subdivisions and owned several hotels in California. They represented the ultimate American Dream. Despite their successes, my grandmother never stopped hoarding and eating scraps of food, having a full appreciation of where she came from and a pride and appreciation for what she had here in the USA. This is why I have a hard time with Oliver Stone’s very inaccurate statement, it denies the very hard history that the Chinese-American Immigrant had experienced, and belittles the greatness of American Liberty that became a Great Hope for poor immigrants, who ended up loving this country. Chairman Mao had a history of murdering his own people and had much blood on his hands. I’m a natural born American and Constitutional Conservative, Tea Party member. My Uncle fought for the USA in the Vietnam War and ended up a Disabled Veteran. For me Obama’s agenda for this country ”Forward” is like a knife to my heart, probably in much the same way that the Swastika is to children & grandchildren of Holocaust Survivors. Likenesses of Chairman Mao and I Hate USA tshirts worn by our youth show an absolute lack of knowledge. I truly believe that this younger generation needs to be educated, mainly about history and how we must learn from the past. Historical China fell under Communistic policies. Current day China is benefitting from growing Freedom and Capitalism. I hope that we can educate this upcoming generation about the Natural Laws of Economics and the impact of Politicial Ideologies upon the Prosperity of a Nation. Please don’t let this election disourage Patriots from fighting for the most worthy cause of our lives- a Free USA. God Bless the USA, land that I LOVE. God Bless my fellow Patriots. Let Freedom Ring.
