I went to a packed tropicana room at the Holiday Inn in Ocean City MD for a Townhall with US house rep Andy Harris state officials McDermott and Otto all of whom are well versed suporters of the second amendment as far as I heard I got there late driving safe so if one suported more gun laws it was before I arrived. I missed the speeches except the responses to the questions from the reps. One lady with a they deserve a vote t-shirt on said there was a law limmiting the number of rounds a person could have at 3000 (per gun I think) .She stated that she didnt know why a hunter would need 3000 rounds My hand was already up but I started jumping to respond to that. The representitive did not slip up. Andy harris did mention the Athens case as proof the second amendment could be used lawfully opposing a tyranical local government in that case.The Tea Party was well represented with our dont tread on me yellow shirts and bumper stickers but there were more 2nd amendment rights groups present all with good questions and statements.I was finally called on and answered that the 2nd amendment was about being able to oppose tyrany not about hunting and a rancher along our southern border has a response time of hours in some cases and with drug cartels who they may encounter or illegal aliens they may need to put up some cover fire to protect their familys. I also told the capital newspaper that just because I identified one everyone could understand that it doesnt mean that someone closer than the border states might not find a situation needing 3000 rounds for a defence. I found my friend Mike on the way home we had pizza and retold the day and time since we last met.I told him I was going to do the top 10 reasons to have 3000 rounds.
