I just listened to the liar and cheif about executive gun controll. 1-The gun violence in schools was not perpetrated by legal gun owners and laws wont stop crimminals from seeking infamy by upping the numbers next time. More 2 minute response time cops wont get there in time next time and will only provide more government growth that should be scrutinized for effectiveness for desired purpose.if it is to solve more crime and remove crimminals I could agrree to budgetary prioritzing for that. If it is to protect children from waco’s then again response time. As is police will always be two minutes behind a massacre unless they get lucky.They will be the first to say so. I agree with the plan one state is taking by voluntarily arming some staff and I have not mentioned what staff as I think thats a bad idea. Knowing that some staff is armed is a deterent and lessens response time. I am not for an overegulated one size fits all plan that further expands government and expense. Let each school create its own schoolspecific plans and I’m sure the NRA would assist in gun training and gun safety. The presidents kids go to a school with 12 armed gaurds and secret service with weapons it plans to ban (if not the gaurds the secret service has large capacity magazines and military style weaponry).Their response time is seconds when seconds count. and training where that counts. This is what saves lives. 3-My grandfather needed no hunting license when he was young and when licensing became law he got a lifetime license to hunt in VA that he was smart enough to keep in good condition because he couldnt have replaced it.He had that right but couldnt pass it on to his sons as they needed renewable licenses and stamps and really permission that my grandfather didnt need. They can say they wont grab your gun rights but currently they are grabbing pieces of it and the desired result is to render us defenceless and subject to living a life they choose for us. In socialism its each according to his ability to each according to his need. Only its the government who decides your ability and your need as will happen with health care until we see enough and stop it. I hear all the stupid stuff about the EPA doing good but the Chesapeake bay watershed problems started after the CCC remodeled the skyline drive and changed the nature of its runoff. Alot of ash used to runoff for different reasons and roadsalt changes the nature of freshwater streams and tidewaters that are more brackish in winter. They are a bigger reason for the state of the bay than overharvesting and overharvesting is a big deal. Better discussion would have greater impact through education than legislating our powers to a government that often doesnt really care unless it gets its boots licked. They will use these tragidies to get more and more of our rights incrementally. Even total bans wouldnt work as the european school shooter had said weapons and they are all banned and the response time of would be rescuers was the factor leaving 70 plus dead.
