I have just joined STPP and would like to encourage members to speak with their state legislators about state-created health exchanges. States are under no obligation to create one. 14 other states, including Missouri have made them illegal. Each exchange would cost its state approx. $10-$100 million. State-created does not mean state controlled: all exchanges will be controlled by Washington. State officials may not want their names on this legislation since they will take the blame when Obamacare increases insurance premiums and denies care to the sick.
