I had the honor of working for Judge Kelly for four and a half years. With Judge McEwen, Judge Cavanaugh and Judge Montemuro and others they moved a court which had tilted left in favor of defendants and criminals why ensuring a fair trial and proportionate sentencing. The kind of balanced non-activist judge we so desperately in courts at every level local state and federal. When I pick any candidate to support I look for core values demonstrated by past action, character in personal affairs and involvement in causes bigger than themselves. What the cause was is not as important as the fact of passion without fanaticism. Churchill observed that a fanatic is a person who cannot change his mind and will not change the topic.
