The House is out of session until Sept. 10

We are scheduled to be back in session for a compressed schedule in September and October. The real heavy lifting will be in the lame duck session in November and December, when the imminent end of the current Congress will force negotiations on several outstanding matters to be wrapped up.

The President has always appeared to consider government to be the driving force in society while taking businesses for granted. He seems not to understand or have sympathy for people who build the economy in the private sector, suggesting that they are just lucky to have been helped along the way.
