Lamar County TEA Party

The Founders of the Lamar County TEA Party were originally members of the executive committee of the Paris T.E.A. Party group headed by Janet Post from the spring of 2010 until October of 2010. During the campaign season leading up to the midterm elections of 2010, Ms. Post chose to participate in a radio ad where she invoked the TEA Party’s name as she endorsed the candidate which the Paris TEA Party’s executive committee did not agree to endorse. As a result, every member of the executive committee promptly resigned and individually endorsed who they considered to be the more conservative candidate, Erwin Cain. The members of the executive committee then started the process of forming the Lamar County T.E.A. Party.
