Gingrich: The U.S. is losing the war with radical Islamists
At the Iowa Freedom Summit, which Tea Party Patriots helped sponsor, former Speaker of the House and presidential candidate Newt Gingrich had some frank words about the need to finally acknowledge who the U.S.’s “real enemies are.”
“There is one common pattern occurring everywhere across the planet,” said Gingrich, “and that is radical Islamists who hate our civilization, are prepared to cut off our heads, and are determined to impose their religion by force.”

On Tuesday, Senate Democrats blocked legislation [1] that would have funded the Department of Homeland Security, but reversed President Obama’s executive action on immigration. That’s right: even though DHS funding is set to run out at the end of February, Democrats in the hallowed halls of the Senate think it’s a better idea to preserve amnesty, then fund a government agency.

Last week, Congress put off voting on a horribly bad immigration reform bill, thanks in large part to patriots all over the country who flooded Capitol Hill with phone calls. While the bill that was passed won’t necessarily be getting grade-A marks anytime soon, it at least calls for tighter border enforcement.
