Louisiana Senators and Staff Scarce When Activists Seek to Remind them of their Promises

On Thursday, Tea Party Patriots activists in the great state of Louisiana set out to deliver signatures from Louisiana Patriots asking Senators Cassidy and Kennedy to keep their promises and vote to repeal ObamaCare. You would think it would be relatively easy for a constituent to remind their Senator of a promise, but they are busy people. Even if they aren’t available to meet their constituents, you’d think at least a member of the Senator’s staff would meet constituents, given they all serve the people. But as has been the case in other states recently, it’s not as easy as you might expect! When our activists showed up, petitions in ...

Johnson credits Trump’s rhetoric for decline in illegal immigrants crossing border

Former Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said Thursday that the decreasing number of illegal immigrants crossing the southwestern U.S. border is partly due to President Trump’s rhetoric. The Washington Examiner has the story: While working for former President Barack Obama, Johnson and other officials worked for years to reduce illegal immigration after the 2014 border crisis that saw thousands of unaccompanied children try to enter the country. Illegal immigration fell in 2015 after the Obama administration worked closely with Central American countries in an effort to get their help in reducing the flow of people, but it rose again in ...

Lewandowski: President Trump’s tax reform plan will have three big components

Corey Lewandowski, a political commentator and former campaign manager for Trump in 2016, expects Trump’s tax reform plan will have three parts. He expects that the plan will lead to less cash flowing overseas, tax deductions for middle-class families and a more simplified tax code. The Hill has the scoop: "You will see the repatriation of money coming back from overseas, which is going to be a huge boost to the economy. You will see the increase in deductions from middle-class and working families so they have more deductions. And you will see the simplifying of the tax burden, the tax code," he added. Lewandowski pointed to how Trump will ...

Obamacare traitor: Promptly hangs up on constituent

A concerned Tea Party Patriot and Rob Portman constituent, called both Portman’s Washington DC office and Columbus office to express his desire to vote for an Obamacare repeal. Interestingly, the telephone was only answered at the Columbus office and as soon as the constituent expressed her desire for Senator Portman to vote for repeal of Obamacare, the intern that answered the phone promptly hung up! Jenny Beth has the details: We must correct these traitors and remind them that they must keep their promises of repealing Obamacare! Click here to see the list of Obamacare traitors who campaigned for a full Obamacare repeal and remind them ...

House GOP releases $1.1 trillion budget that could reduce the deficit by $15 billion in 2018

The House budget committee unveiled a budget plan for the next fiscal year that would potentially cut $203 billion in mandatory spending and seek to balance the budget in roughly a decade, and the budget panel predicts the deficit could “turn into a $9 billion surplus by 2027”. The Hill has the details: The $1.132 trillion budget includes $621.5 billion for defense, a significant increase over both current levels and those proposed by President Trump. It contains $511 billion for nondefense discretionary spending, a cut from current spending but higher than Trump’s request. It also includes $87 billion in spending for the global war on ...

Americans can’t stop abusing their “gold-plated government credit card”; U.S. yearly deficit projected at $693 billion

According to the Congressional Budget Office, the federal government alone will run a $693 billion deficit this year because Americans and the federal government lack self-control from borrowing outrageous amounts of money that Americans once paid for the old fashioned way. The Washington Examiner has the details:   According to the Congressional Budget Office, the federal government will run a $693 billion deficit this year, an upward revision from $534 billion in March. Acting as if we have a gold-plated government credit card, we Americans buy more government services than we pay for. As my 2nd grade teacher might have put it, this ...

Time for Republicans to Keep Their Promises to Fully Repeal ObamaCare

Atlanta, GA – Tea Party Patriots President and co-founder Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement today, reacting to the abandonment of the Senate’s watered-down ObamaCare repeal effort. “Now that Senate Republicans have abandoned their watered-down ObamaCare repeal efforts, we are hopeful that this will be the start of a new day in Washington. The time to drain the swamp and keep the promises made to the American people has finally come. If Republican senators wish not to squander their majority, they will work in good faith to fully repeal ObamaCare as they promised time and time again. Full repeal means getting rid of all of the ...
