We invite state coordinators to help promote this program by encouraging and/or helping local groups implement the program. You can fulfill this by:

  1. Become familiar with the program
  2. Adopt a school yourself to gain a clear understanding of the program
  3. Send emails to local coordinators to inform them of the program (sample email) (fliers)
  4. Follow up with local coordinators to offer support, answer questions, and get a report on how things are going.

TOOLS FOR LOCAL COORDINATORS (sample time line) (frequently asked questions)
You are our key to getting this program implemented in your areas and making a significant impact on the constitutional education of our children.

  1. Become familiar with the program
  2. Adopt a school yourself to gain a clear understanding of the program
  3. Choose an individual or committee (usually your education chairman or committee) to head up the program. That individual or committee should:
    1. Inform and train group on the program (sample email) (fliers)
    2. Identify each school district and/or individual school in your area and have grassroots patriots “adopt” or sign up for specific schools. (sign up form)
    3. Provide fliers and packets to grassroots patriots.
    4. Keep track of program progress and offer support where needed.
    5. Set specific dates and goals.
  4. Follow up with committee to offer support, answer questions, and get a report on how things are going.
  5. Consider purchasing Adopt a School packets in bulk to reduce costs or provide for a fundraiser for your group.
  6. Consider holding a Patriots & Popcorn Movie Night to promote and raise funds for the Adopt a School program. Movies and packets can be sold and distributed at the event. Learn more.

TOOLS FOR GRASSROOTS PATRIOTS (sample time line) (frequently asked questions)
This program is valueless without the boots on the ground and you are it! We love our grassroots patriots, they are saving our nation. You can make this program happen by:

1. “Adopt a School” by signing up with the individual or committee in charge of the program in your group. Ask your group leadership who this is.
2. Contact your adopted school or district by email, mail, by phone or in person to inform them of the 2004 law, encourage them to comply with the law, and offer to help. (sample letter 1) (sample followup letter) (sample media letter 1)
3. Purchase the Adopt a School packet from The National Center of Constitutional Studies (NCCS) or obtain other constitutional materials of your choosing and donate them to the school or district
4. Invite superintendents, principals, and teachers to a screening of A More Perfect Union if your group chooses to do a Patriots & Popcorn Movie Night.
