Since the debate about health care reform began in 2009, grassroots activists across the country have warned of unintended consequences. One of those unintended consequences became clear this week. As reported by Philip Klein the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) expects six million Americans, mostly those in the middle-class, to be hit by the fine for not having insurance.

Doing some quick math, this is $1,167 per citizen being hit by the tax. Never mind that the average American already pays too many taxes on not enough income – now six million law-abiding citizens will be required to pay more.

The President’s health care law has too many broken promises to count, and CBO has just added one more. No raising taxes on the middle-class, Mr. President? Once again, you and your health care law are lacking.
