Cruz:  Reid Refusing to Debate Anything Except How to Repeal Free Speech

Tuesday on the Senate floor, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) blasted Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) for wasting time on debating how to take away American’s right to free speech as guaranteed in the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Cruz said Reid refuses to debate the threat from ISIS, Putin and an unsecured border but instead will spend the entire week debating his attempt to reverse the Supreme Court’s 2010’s Citizens United ruling with a proposed a constitutional amendment aimed at limiting the political spending of corporations.

Could Reid’s priorities possibly be more disconnected with Americans? We’re thinking… not so much.

Vitter Introduces “No Obamacare Exemption”

U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-La.)… introduced his “No Washington Exemption from Obamacare” legislation as an amendment to S.J. Res. 19, the Senate Democrats’ proposal to amend the Constitution and allow Congress to set limits on campaign contributions. Vitter’s legislation would require all Members of Congress, all Congressional staff, the President, Vice-President, and all political appointees within the administration to purchase their health insurance on the Obamacare Exchange and receive the same amount of financial support from tax credits or subsidies as any American would outside of Washington.

Wow… a bill insisting that Congress play by the same rules as us.  This could catch on!

Kaiser Poll: Support for ObamaCare Falls to 35 Percent

While the American people are focused on a new Iraq conflict involving U.S. forces and an open Southern border that some say beckons Islamic State terrorists to enter the country, public approval of ObamaCare has steadily declined over the summer. According to a monthly poll by the Kaiser Health Foundation released on Tuesday, just 35% of voters support the Affordable Care Act.

Peter Morici: Bill for Obamacare is Coming Due

The bill is coming due for Obamacare and it’s a whopper. According to Medicare’s own actuaries, U.S. health-care spending is about to rocket. Federal meddling in what was once the finest and cost-effective health-care system on the planet is nothing new…. Just as Soviet central planning failed to put enough TVs and beef on store shelves, federally managed health care creates long waits to see doctors and lots of opportunities for soft fraud — activities by health-care providers that game federal rules — and outright stealing.

People are still finding out how bad Obamacare really is – and it’s not even fully implemented!
