Murder in the Rio Grande Valley — The Suspects In An Off-Duty Border Patrol Agent’s Fatal Shooting Are Illegal Aliens, Previously Deported.
… The 36-year-old agent, Javier Vega Jr., was shot in front of his wife, his parents, two of his sons, and another child in the Rio Grande Valley. Vega’s father was also shot but survived. They were on an idyllic family fishing trip before being ambushed and robbed. The two suspects are Mexican nationals from Matamoros. “They’re here illegally,” my source said with a weary sigh. And not just that. They had been previously deported after committing other serious crimes, he says. “But we just drop the thugs off at the border, and they come right back.”

Conservatives: Grassroots Americans Delivered Immigration Victory Last Week
Conservative House members and movement leaders are thanking the grassroots activists nationwide for their role in helping win the major immigration battle last week in the House that flayed the Democrats on the hotly contested issue for the first time since the 2012 re-election of President Barack Obama. …Jenny Beth Martin of Tea Party Patriots added in an emailed statement that what happened last week is by far “the biggest victory against the Democrats’ liberal agenda in the 113th Congress.”
This is a remarkable case study in grassroots activism.
When Lobbyists Attack: Steve LaTourette’s Embarrassing Anti-Tea Party Screed
Watching a grown man have a hissy-fit registers somewhere between desperate and pathetic on the Silly Scale. That was the response among conservatives early this week upon reviewing the latest ravings of Steve LaTourette, the former Republican congressman and self-anointed arbiter of which voices may be heard in Congress. … But when ordinary Americans flex their collective muscle to enact positive change, like Tea Party Patriots and other groups did in regards to illegal immigration, LaTourette’s firm and others have to work harder to make a buck. More to the point, lobbyists who supported that terrible illegal immigration bill must now explain to their understandably angry clients why those six and seven-figure lobbying fees were wasted and did nothing more than line the pockets of the respective lobbyist. Sounds awkward.

The frustration carries over to the nation’s political leaders, with President Barack Obama’s overall approval rating hitting a new low at 40 percent.
Bad economy. Wrong direction. Political distrust. Now there’s a presidential legacy for ya…
