Under Oath: IRS Officials Detail Lerner Computer Crash in Declarations to Court
The IRS has submitted several sworn declarations to a federal district court in an attempt to explain the missing emails of former agency official Lois Lerner, as part of a case brought against the agency by a conservative watchdog group.…“This latest IRS filing seems to treat as a joke Judge Sullivan’s order requiring the IRS to produce details about Lois Lerner’s ‘lost’ emails, and any efforts to retrieve and produce them to Judicial Watch as required under law,” the statement said. “Frankly, it seems the cover-up continues.”
What about the agency’s email server? Or the recipient’s computer? Or the recipients server? C’mon…
Lament of a Legal Alien
My desire to come to the United States was born out of ambition, not desperation. I stood in every line there was, beginning at the U.S. Embassy in my native India and then here, filled out every form that needed to be filled out, and made copies and certified copies of all the documents that were needed to prove that I was who I said I was. At every point I was warned that if I lied or falsified information or tried to find work other than the job I was authorized to do in the U.S. there would be serious consequences. In particular I was warned about the rather grave repercussions if I chose to stay here illegally. …I have watched the immigration debate with fascination and a sense of utter helplessness. The helplessness stems from the fact that as a “legal alien” I have absolutely no voice in this discussion.
These are the people most insulted by the Obama administration’s lawless illegal immigration policy.
Hispanic Voters Favor Economy Over Immigration, Poll Says
A new poll from Spanish-language Univision finds that California’s Latinos overwhelmingly view the economy, not immigration, as the most critical voting issue. So much for the GOP’s supposed irrelevance. Twenty-one percent of Latinos place education as their top concern, followed by jobs (16%), government spending and the deficit (15%), Social Security (13%), “how will what I do affect my wallet” (10%), health care (9%) and then immigration, clocking in at just 8%.
Ever wonder what happens when a president ignores the stuff people actually care about?
Poll: Obama Hurting Mid-Term Dem Chances
Voters are less likely to vote for congressional Democrats because they are disappointed with how President Obama is handling his job, according to a new poll released Monday by McClatchy. By a 42-32 percent margin, voters say that because of the president, they’re more likely to vote for a Republican candidate this fall. And, for the first time, Republicans are winning the generic ballot measure, with voters more likely to say they’d vote for a GOP candidate by a 43-38 percent margin.
THIS is what happens when a president ignores the stuff people actually care about.
