Warning To GOP Leaders: Don’t Betray A Clear Conservative Victory
In the wake of perceived backpedaling by some Capitol Hill Republicans, a group of national conservative leaders speaking through the Conservative Action Project (CAP) issued a strongly worded warning to the GOP: fight for the conservative agenda you ran on and don’t betray the voters who just gave you an unprecedented victory.

Tea Party Activists: We’ll Hold Republicans Accountable
Tea party activists say the midterm elections’ Republican wave swept in Senate candidates who ran on issues championed by conservatives – and that they’ll be held accountable if they stray from those promises. “Every single Republican ran as a conservative,” Brent Bozell, chairman of ForAmerica, told The Hill. … Jenny Beth Martin, who heads the Tea Party Patriots, agreed. “I think the important thing to note is how many of the people who won in both chambers won because they were supporting tea party issues,” Martin told the Washington Examiner.

What shellacking? Press pounds the president for being in denial
During the 73 minutes in which Barack Obama spoke to reporters, he seems to have made no one happy. He wouldn’t call the elections a “shellacking” or provide any headline-worthy phrase at all. He kept talking about the two-thirds of the country that didn’t vote, so as to minimize the impact of the midterms. He said he would spend more time with Mitch McConnell and John Boehner but didn’t sound especially eager. And he still plans to hurl a thunderbolt in the form of an executive order on immigration. So the verdict of the insta-pundits is, well, he just doesn’t get it.
Okay, so he doesn’t get it. But has he ever gotten it?

Boehner Warns Obama Against Unilateral Action on Immigration
Two days after his party’s midterm romp, House Speaker John Boehner became the second leading Republican to warn that unilateral action by President Barack Obama on immigration would “poison the well” for any cooperation with the new GOP Congress. Among the causes of the standoff: a year of previously unreported talks between Messrs. Boehner and Obama over a legislative compromise to fix the balky immigration system.
Words are one thing. Will the Speaker back them up with action?
