Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas swore an oath to defend and secure the United States of America, and to uphold the Constitution of the United States. The Constitution tasks the executive branch – among whose officers is the Secretary of Homeland Security – with ensuring that the laws of the United States are faithfully executed.

This includes faithfully executing the laws securing our border and laws concerning illegal immigration. Secretary Mayorkas has failed in every way to secure our border and our nation. Furthermore, he lied to Congress repeatedly about his failures.

We applaud the House for impeaching Secretary Mayorkas and now urge the Senate to hold a fair and honest trial to convict Secretary Mayorkas. He is a threat to the security of our nation and unfit to hold the position of Secretary of Homeland Security.
