TEA PARTY PATRIOTS: Marco Rubio jumps into 2016 presidential race “…Jenny Beth Martin, co-founder of the Tea Party Patriots, hailed Rubio's announcement. "Marco Rubio's candidacy and the 2016 election are about the future, not the past," Martin said. "He knows firsthand that prosperity comes not from a government program but from free markets and the hard work done by millions of individuals and small business that still believe in the promise of the American Dream."…” http://www.floridatoday.com/story/news/local/2015/04/13/rubio-tells-donors-he-is-running-for-white-house/25707281/   Rubio vows to lead new 'American ...

HEALTHCARE: Obamacare sticks some enrollees with unexpected bill “Last year, a study found that about four out of every 10 people who received financial help from the government while buying their Obamacare health plans had no idea they were getting any assistance. This tax season, many of those people may be in for a rude surprise when they're asked to pay some—or even all—of that money back. That's despite government and tax preparers last year repeatedly urging those enrolled in Obamacare plans to report changes in income during the year, to avoid a situation where they owed back—or were owed by the government—more in the way of ...

HEALTHCARE: GAO: Largest Health Insurers Have Gotten Even Bigger Since Obamacare Passed “Obamacare made it through Congress with top Democrats’ constant assertions that big, corporate insurance companies were the problem, but in the three years after the health-care law passed those insurers only got richer.  The three largest insurance companies held an average of 86 percent of all customers in the individual health insurance market in 2013, up from 83 percent in 2010, when Obamacare was passed, according to a report from the nonpartisan General Accountability Office. It doesn’t look like that’s changing much this year. A September GAO ...

HEALTHCARE: ObamaCare 2016: If you like your plan, you’ll love it when we pick a different one “Alternate headline: HHS Decides to Make Plan Choices for the Grubes. In a Friday afternoon filled with document dumps, HHS announced that its controversial auto-enrollment plan would be significantly changed in 2016. This year, enrollees who allowed their plans to auto-renew risked running up big tax bills, thanks to annual recalculation of subsidies and base rates. To solve that problem, HHS wants people to allow the Obama administration to auto-enroll them into the lowest-cost plan in their 2016 tier, regardless of what the coverage or deducti...

HEALTHCARE: How Much Will Obamacare Cost? Bet on 'More Than Expected' “As the nation prepares for the second enrollment period under The Affordable Care Act in November, there is officially no way of figuring out what Obamacare is going to do to federal deficits compared to the estimates used to push the program through Congress. Back in 2009, it was really important to President Obama that people understand he would not "sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits—either now or in the future. Period." He sold the plan as costing about $938 billion in its first decade of operation (2010 through 2019) but saving about $143 billion overall ...

Shock of the Day: Another Obamacare Delay

Via Reuters, the almost-weekly tradition continues – another part of Obamacare is being delayed: The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) notified insurance companies on Tuesday that it would not sign final agreements with the plans between September 5 and 9, as originally anticipated, but would wait until mid-September instead, according to insurance industry sources. Nevertheless, Joanne Peters, a spokeswoman for HHS, said the department remains "on track to open" the marketplaces on time on October 1. The reason for the hold-up was unclear. Sources attributed it to technology problems involving the display of insurance products ...

Thank You to All Who Contributed to Saving Wisconsin

Last night in Wisconsin we saw history in the making. The special interests and unions were the clear losers in an effort to recall elected officials for keeping their promises. Your support clearly had a major impact in what happened last night and we are extremely grateful. Thank you! Next, we want to thank the great patriots in Wisconsin for standing to ...
