Montgomery County is generously trying to add a $900,000 gift to Lockheed Martins bank accounts. Lockheed Martin declared net sales of $11.3 billion in the first quarter of 2012.
Montgomery County is now collecting a nickel a bag tax on all grocery bags, department store bags etc. on people who don’t supply their own bags. The practice is filthy and cumbersome on the merchants who try to do business in the county. It’s another socialist example of giving to the rich and taking from the workers who produce the wealth of the country. The $900,000 gift to Lockheed will not even be noticed by the multi-million dollar executives there.
