Both my Mother and Father worked in the Bath Shipyard in Maine. My father was a freelance finish carpenter and he worked hard til he was 65 when he retired. Even during retirement he worked as a chair builder to make an income and built grandfather clocks. He never accepeted any handout. YVTP will be meeting Monday July 9, 2012 in Mocksville at the Davie County Courthouse to go over the July 17 NC elections. Special quest includes Ed Goodwin who is running for NC Sec of State. The meeting will last from 7 to 9 pm. Yadkin Valley Tea Pary Tax Day 2010
