We are a tea party in southern New Jersey, Gloucester County. We are dedicated to defending the Constitution of the United States of America, through insisting that the government become smaller and more responsive. We are working to educate our friends and neighbors about individual freedom, and liberty. We strive to elect honest officials who are committed to lower taxation and our founding principles. South Jersey Citizens is a conservative grassroots taxpayer organization dedicated to educating the public on issues related to local government and politics including school boards, town councils and agencies. The ability of citizens to make informed decisions is paramount and in today's political environment local politicians tend to deflect and evade as opposed to being truly transparent. Through use of the Open Records Act (OPRA), attending meetings and asking questions SJCU has been effective in sending a message to those who have been elected that We the People are their boss and party politics has no place in our community. Now more than any other time in our history is it this critical to be involved and informed. Take a stand and make a difference. The rule of law is how our system of government thrives and a working knowledge of those laws is vital.

To defend the original intent of our Founding Fathers through God inspired documents.To educate others on the rights,liberties and freedoms conferred to us in them. To speak on the containment of government and to the common good for all through our individual efforts. We will pursue the truth in all matters affecting our people,our nation and to communicate these truths so that we have a well informed poplulous.
