I want to offer a word of caution. If you are thinking about getting involved with a Tea Party or other conservative organization, think about this. Many are wailing about what they are doing and needing to work together. I cannot advise more caution in this step. Many of these groups are organizations of one. ONE! Please be careful. Talk with your state coordinator of the Tea Party Patriots about who it is that you should be connected to. Some are going off asking for the secession of their state from the union. Some are starting petitions or organizing other activities. We cannot be involved in those who are taking away from legitimate and coordinated effort with those chapters and organizations that have had the ground troops and membership working all this time. Your state legislators and officials know who these people are and respect those that can produce the numbers to affect an issue, AND if you have a coordinated effort state action alert concerning the healthcare exchanges, make the calls or emails to your governor who is making the decision.
You are right Nebraska. What we need now more than ever before, is to consolidate and draw in the other Conservative groups, so we have a Singular Unified Group with a clear and acceptable political goal we can all agree on to oppose the Progressives. The last election has shown us that to have so many divergent groups, is the losing strategy in the modern world. We need to organize more than the Progressives have, and use as many of their tactics as we can against them as long as those tactics don’t compromise our core beliefs. We also need to start reaching out to the groups the Progressives think they have a lock on, and the Republicans ignored to listen to their grievances and find out what they want in redress of those grievances. If we give them a voice in how they are governed many of them will come over to our viewpoint because it is not based on handouts that enslave for generations. Instead it is based on self actualization, dignity, honor, self reliance and self pride. What we need to do is to put the tools and opportunity there for everyone to use, and anyone who has the ambition will be able to succeed big.
