Overall gun homicides dropped 14% since expiration of the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban in 2006. Total violent crime has dropped nearly 70% since 1973, according to FBI statistics.
The drop in gun homicides and decrease in total violent crime come as concealed carry laws have spread throughout the country. The Assault Weapons Ban, which actually banned certain semi-automatic weapons, and not the already banned automatic weapons, limited the freedom of law-abiding citizens with absolutely no evidence to support that it worked. Newtown, the tragedy that it is, is not even on horizon anymore.
It’s all about control now.
Until the hell-hole called Chicago is cracked down on, we shall resist.
I did consulting many years ago for a non-existence company (gobbled-up by a humungous bank with the initials BofA) that had the initials ML.
It was a totally politicized environment to work in.
They had a motto that they enacted every 6-9 months and went along the lines of this:
(The Obozo administration would be proud).
”We need to reorg the departments so that we can give the illusion of things being done.”
This non-sense that from this point forward in the Obama States of America, we will have tougher gun laws to stop these tragedies, is exactly what went on back then.
Give the illusion of something being done to give the false feelings of them being on the ball.
There were too many inept individuals (I’m being nice) running the show at that company and have too many Inept imbeciles in this current administration.
That what we the people who actually did the work called ”The Smoke and Mirror Show”!!
Lowering the bar in this country is another nail in the coffin of what I thought to be the greatest country known to freedom loving people.
