The DeKalb County Illinois Tea Party is a non-partisan organization of individuals united by core values derived from the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States of America, and the Bill of Rights as explained in the Federalist Papers. Recognizing the strength of grassroots organization powered by activism and civic responsibility at a local level is a hallmark of the Tea Party. Typically, tea party groups host candidate forums and debates in advance of elections, hold discussions on current political issues, encourage involvement in government, and much more. This grassroots organization will begin with a DeKalb County local focus.
