Someone emailed this to me at work- think I might go.

A CALL FOR PEACEFUL ACTION ON 12/01/12

    Dear friend and patriot,

This was written by one individual on their own accord, representing no political party, no organization, no corporation, no lobby, no pundits, and with nothing more than their time and a computer. I have a child and I am a citizen of the United States of America. Despite what everyone says, we are not a divided nation. We are all united under one Constitution, with the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Many people have given their lives and have stood up to protect these rights for all of us and our children.

Our elected representatives from both parties are not working for the people, and not promoting the general welfare of this Country as they are required under the Constitution. While we may disagree on which issues the government should fix, the list of failures is long. The government has spent our money on failed regulations, on failed subsidies, on bailouts for banks and corporations that have failed, on a failed immigration system, on failing schools, on endless wars, on failed economic stimulus, on a health care system that is likely to fail, on failing infrastructure, on failing entitlements, and even a failing Postal Service. They have failed to pass a balanced budget for 3 years now, continuing to add to our National Debt every year. Some might argue that our Federal Government is “too big to fail”, but I say they are failing because they are too big. The Founding Fathers envisioned a government in which the three branches have separation of powers, and none ever more powerful than those of the people. Instead we are ruled by the whims of two political parties and their elite, who continue to prosper as individuals while the rest of the Nation does not.

What will become of our children, those who right now have no say and have no vote but will inherit all of this? Most say there is nothing one person can do to change government, that it must be this way. I say that this is not yet a failure of the people, and that government must simply and successfully carry out the will of the people through their Constitutional duties. This is their only true mandate. Everyone should know that they have a right to be heard, even when the campaigns are over. Everyone must remind themselves that in a Republic, the power resides with the people, not the politicians. Everyone is protected by the Constitution, and everyone can read it for themselves. And in that Constitution, in the very first Amendment, every individual has the right “to peaceably assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances”. Our particular grievances may not all be the same, but I believe we can all agree that the government is doing too much, and they are succeeding at too little. We can all agree that we want our government to work for us. We do not want them, and the Country, to fail.

The greatest civil rights issue of our time is the debt and the ever-growing reliance on government that we are passing on to our children, who have no say in this matter. Many of us are not compelled to action. But, I believe that all of us know a child they can stand up for, and most of us will make some sacrifice now so that our children are free to live their lives as they choose. I ask you to stand with me in a petition of people, to unite as citizens, to let our elected officials know that the people are still watching, and especially to speak for those of us who do not have a voice. This we request of our President and Congress at this time: to acknowledge that they have failed to do the work of the people for too long, to pass a balanced budget and a Balanced Budget Amendment, and to end the endless campaign and immediately pass legislation mandating Congressional term limits, so that our children can inherit a government that will always reflect the will of people. If you agree with me, I ask you to peacefully stand with me on the National Mall in Washington D.C., on Saturday, December 1st, 2012. And if you cannot be there in person, stand with me in your own way. Please spread this message to anyone you know who will stand with us.

Congratulations that you’re still employed under Obamanomics …. As far as the email, who is organizing that?
