LOCAL TEA PARTY KICKS OFF STATEWIDE NC TEA BILLBOARD PROJECT

Waving flags to honking motorists, a representative group of members from the Jackson County, North Carolina, Patriots met on Saturday, May 19th to celebrate the kick-off for the statewide NC Tea Billboard Project. The billboard located in Cullowhee (and our smaller board located in Sylva) are only the beginning. From Black Mountain to the beaches of North Carolina, look for the American Eagle screaming ”Enough!” as these billboards go up across our state.

The project was birthed by the hard work and cooperation of multiple tea parties, and thanks go out to the many grass roots supporters within our state that got this project off the ground. The nation’s largest tea party organization, the Tea Party Patriots, generously donated to this project to bring it into fruition. Contributions from our local group, with special thanks to John Kummer, Hubert Merchant, and Jim Nichols for the financial support, made this specific board possible.

I would also like to thank Carl Iobst,Trish Chambers, Holly Falls, Jenni Gardner, Steve Fields and Larry Gardner for answering the call to muster and becoming the ”rapid deployment” team for the photo. Our appreciation also extends to Congressional candidate Vance Patterson who donated the T-shirts to our group.
