The FairTax Truth Squad: Recruits Needed

Correcting misconceptions, inaccurate statements and outright lies about the FairTax could be a fulltime job!

Do you ever wonder how something as simple, fair and transparent as the FairTax can be made to sound complex and sinister? Yet, it happens every day. One only needs to pay attention to blogs, interviews, editorials and news articles to find yet another individual or organization misstating some aspect of the FairTax.

Most of the time these missteps are just that – simple mistakes borne from a lack of knowledge. Other times, however, disparaging statements are made to intentionally create doubt, fear and anxiety about the validity and value of the FairTax replacing the income tax code. More often than not, individuals or organizations that have a vested interest in retaining the status quo make these types of statements.

So how does the FairTax campaign combat this kind of negativity? The answer is with facts – each time, every time – relentlessly.

In fact, we’re looking for a few volunteers who would like to be a part of an elite “FairTax Truth Squad.” These are individuals who have a computer with Internet access and have some free time to quickly scan news sites, blogs and various public opinion websites for inaccurate information being published about the FairTax.

We then need a handful of volunteers who have a good understanding of the FairTax to immediately refute any inaccurate statements with well-reasoned facts.
