We are a non-partisan grass-roots organization of concerned citizens who are dedicated to working with and for all political candidates sharing our desires for a more accountable, open, and fiscally responsible government. American pride, sense and sensibility have all been badly bruised. Together we can persuade our current leaders to hear our voices or elect new leaders that will. Please do not sit in your kitchen and complain...I guarantee you won't get expected or hoped for results. Come join us and let's raise our voices in unison! We will be heard! Nothing less than the futures of Rhode Island and America is at stake. We are Americans. We have a rich history full of strength and resolve. Improvise, adapt, and overcome! God Bless America

Elected representatives have become disconnected from the voters who elected them. Direct communication between elected officials and the people they represent is essential to a healthy government as prescribed by our founders. The Rhode Island Voter Coalition has been formed to facilitate this direct communication by periodically inviting representatives, candidates, and voters to meet in fair and impartial forums where they can share opinions and educate in a respectful and constructive way. WE PROMISE TO * Learn how our government works * Educate ourselves on the issues of the day * Participate in the process not merely by voting, but also to keep in touch with our representatives throughout the year and hold them accountable for actions taken or not taken

On April 15, 2009 patriots from southern Rhode Island and southeastern Connecticut gathered for a Tax Day Tea Party in Westerly, Rhode Island. Americans across the Country gathered in their towns and cities on that day for Tax Day Tea Parties as part of a grassroots movement to take back our govenrment. On that day 134 people signed the following pledge at the Westerly - Pawcatuck Tax Day Tea Party. We, the People have gathered today to pledge to our Flag, our neighbors, our children, and ourselves that from this day forward we will no longer be the silent majority. From this day forward we pledge to restore our Constitution and to become informed and active citizens with a mission to educate our friends and family about the founding principles of this great Country and the limitations of government as outlined by our Constitution. The United States of America is a Representative Republic, not a democracy. This type of system requires that both the People and their Representatives fulfill their responsibilities. We, the People pledge to fulfill our responsibilities from this day forward, we will educate our fellow citizens, we will contact our elected officials on a regular basis, and we will hold elected officials, regardless of Party, accountable for their votes by exercising our right to vote. MISSION Our mission is to inform and engage our fellow citizens about the founding prinicples of this Country as well as provide fact based information regarding current events.
