The Mission of SCC is: to promote the merits of Limited Government under the Constitution to embrace the goals and objectives of the National 9.12 Project to attain Conservative outcomes in legislation and elections.

It was almost one year ago to date, that myself and Americans across the Country were sitting in their living rooms yelling at their TV sets in frustration. First because of a vote in favor of a $700 Billion bailout, under Bush. And then a $787 billion dollar Stimulus package, under Obama. Then continued spending for Omnibus, cap & trade, Cash for clunkers, and so on and so on! We the People of Lackawanna county, Northeast Pennsylvania, and Across America, were fed up with this out of control spending, as well as the biased MSM not reporting on our anger over it. Until, that is, Rick Santelli's Rant heard round the world! No longer are we sitting in front of our TV sets yelling! No longer are we feeling all alone in our frustration! We have joined Americans from across the Country through a Grassroots movement called the "Tea Party" which is like none other! Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Libertarians, etc. have made their voices heard and proclaimed that we are not going to take it anymore! Since the media wouldn't report it, we were forced to "take it to the streets" and proclaimed it loud and clear! We even Marched on Washington, almost 2 Million of us!

George Washington with his horse "Nelson" Educational Booths Include: Southwest PA TEA Party, Voter Registration, Conservative Coalition, Commonwealth Education Organization, People Concerned for the Unborn Child, Eagle Forum, Western Westmoreland 9-12, NRA, Firearm Owners Against Crime, PA Landowners and introducing American's Never Forget. Food Vendors Include: Funnel Cakes, Kettle Corn, Sausage and Cheese Steak Hoagies, and Fried Chicken and fries. Also available t-shirts: "Don't Tread on Me" in assorted colors and American flag.

The impetus for the Tea Party movement is excessive government spending and taxation. MISSION STATEMENT "To educate and motivate voters to affect elections, preserve the principles and values set forth by America’s founding documents and uphold the ideals of our Founding Fathers."

The Valley Forge Patriots Tea Party (Taxed Enough Already) group is just a small piece of a much larger movement aimed at restoring the basic free-market principles our country was built on. The Constitution, for the most part, is being ignored by our current government and we intend on working together to correct the problem. This is a grassroots, collaborative volunteer organization made up of local patriots joining with every day American citizens from across the country. We have a burning desire to restore freedom by making our voices heard through peaceful demonstrations and the education of all Americans starting with our local neighborhoods. The VFP monthly meetings will take place on the 2nd Friday of each month. We will meet at The Pickering Creek Inn (formerly The Mansion House), 37 East Bridge Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460. Parking on side and in rear of building. We will meet between 6 – 8 pm. Join us anytime!
