A Southern Illinois based Tea Party group. We work to promote conservative values, small goverment, free markets. Our goals are to get the voices of the people of southern IL heard on both local and state levels while working with other groups from across the Nation to affect changes on the federal level.

We held our first rally on April 15, 2009 at the Peoria County Courthouse. Approximately 800 people attended. Groups involved were the Campaign for Liberty, The Heart of Illinois 9/12 Project, the Peoria 9/12 Project and the Illinois Constitution Party-Tazewell County. On Sept 17, 2009 We held a Constitution Day Celebration at the Peoria County Courthouse with about 400 attending. On April 15, 2010 we held a huge event on the riverfront with over 1500 attending and on Sept. 24, 2010 we had another Constitution Day event called Constitution Revolution with food and music which about 300 attended. We are comprised of people from all of the Freedom-Fighting groups in the area such as Campaign for Liberty, the 9/12 Project and the Constitution Party as well Americans from every walk of life and political party. We promote the 3 main principles of the Tea Party, Constitutionally limited government, fiscal accountability and free markets. These are the principles that have made America the most free and prosperous nation in history for over 200 years and the abandonment of them is bringing our nation quickly to ruin. But the Tea Party will not back down and we will not go away! We will still be here fighting for the principles of freedom and prosperity in 2011, 2012 and beyond!! We are united for smaller government, returning to the Constitution, and stopping the Government death spiral of borrowing/spending. We will also soon start a reading group, starting with the basics such as "Common Sense", "American Crisis", and The Constitution. We will then work our way up through history and have discussions on American Freedom, Ameritocracy, and the Founding Fathers. **WEBSITE COMING SOON, please be patient this is a new group!

I am starting this group to see if we can get in touch with local patriots in some of the smaller Kendall County towns. The Newark Tea Party Patriots shall include Millbrook, Millington, Newark and Lisbon. Several small towns that are close by; the biggest of which is Newark and has the most easily recognizable zip code. See if we can work together to take our country back and restore our rights as WE THE PEOPLE.

Comprised of 'flyover' country patriots, our goal is continuing education and understanding of the Constitution, Bill of Rights and candidates who support all the above. In doing this, we maintain the intelligence, integrity, dedication and hard work that has made America the 'City on the Hill.' NFP, believe that the ideals and values that have made this nation a truly exceptional nation may become extinct if we proceed down a path of social deterioration, distortion and misrepresentation of the Constitution, and embrace uncivil political discourse. Restore Our Principles, Inc. complies with IRS 501(c)(4) requirements. We are a non-profit and non-partisan student-led organization. Christiaan Burner is the president and founder of Restore Our Principles. He is also the Illinois state coordinator for the Young Tea Party Patriots and the Vice-President of the College Republicans at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.

We are a new group that is tired of both the Federal and State Government not listening to our voices. We are for fiscal reform at all levels and believe that the November 2012 election will be our chance to finally be heard. Everyone is welcome to join us in our fight!

Concerned citizens of the Salem area have rallied at every protest since April, 2009. We are a dedicated group and plan to continue until our voice is heard and politicians take action. Meeting like-thinking folks has been inspiring.

The Shoal Creek 9/12 Project formed to begin the work of bringing our country back from the brink; of reaching out to all Americans, regardless of their political party affiliation; to spread the message that America is truly an exceptional nation—and that we can and will work together to make and keep this country great.

We are here to learn and teach others about the Constitution. For years I have heard that our voices or votes do not make a differance. Well that is about to change. By talking to one person at a time we will win our country back. 90 percent of the people I talk to do not believe me. When I tell them the real truth about our country and where we are headed if we don't take a stand now. It is hard for them to swallow the facts. The greates thing is that God blessed us with this great nation. God still has our back and the truth will set us free.

The Southern Illinois Tea Party is dedicated to bringing a permanent grassroots movement to Southern Illinois through Conservative principles and being strongly rooted in the U.S. Constitution.
