Roscommon County Tea Party exists to further the ideas and values of our founding heroes. We hold fast to the tenants of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. Personal responsibility, liberty and freedoms are extremely important to us. We firmly believe that we must return our country to governance under the enumerated powers of the Constitution. That will then return us to maximum freedoms, private enterprise unleashed and the federal budget brought under control and the deficit finally paid down. These moves are crucial to the survival of our beloved country.

South Grand Rapids Defenders Troy Smith is starting a group to talk about politics and policys that effect our city and country as well as our religion. I believe if we have a plan for emergencys we better prepair for our childrens servival no matter what comes down. We the people will prevail if we stick together and are willing to fight for our rights to be Americans. One Nation Under GOD! or all shall be lost.....

We organize TEA Party rallies in our county and we meet and educate the community about government overspending and threats to our rights.

Tea party group, active since April 2009, focuses on education, informing the public, and each other. We have adopted the 28 principles from the \"5000 year leap\" as guidelines, realizing that while fiscal issues may be the result of the problem, the real problem is a lack of moral and godly virtues. All meetings are open to the public, all events are open.

Our mission is fully aligned with the national non-partisan Tea Party movement focused on reducing our excessive government. We will work locally in Western Oakland County of Michigan to attract, educate, organize and mobilize fellow citizens to help secure public policy consistent with our three core values.

In this era of desperation, we seek to restore the lost principles that this country was founded upon. Among these principles, are that we have not only rights in our property, but also property in our rights and that this property is unalienable and can neither be legislated nor voted away. That no man or woman has authority over us but what we grant them. That freedom is the freedom from others, whether they be governments, religions, or monied classes that would arbitrarily dictate to us how we should live our lives. That no matter how much we may dislike the values that others hold dear, we have not the right to violate them except in extreme cases. That no individual or group, no matter how righteous their declarations or how noble their cause can attain power without becoming corrupt. That liberty can only be maintained when the power of these corrupt forces are bound by law, and only when they exist in balance one against the other. That to protect these rights, and provide protections from these abuses, governments are instituted among men deriving their just powers from the governed. That no institution is sacred, and that whenever any institution becomes destructive of its ends, it is the right of the people, it is their duty, to throw of such institutions and create new guards for their liberty.

We follow the principles and values of the 9-12 Project initiated by Glenn Beck. Tri-City 912 of Mid-Michigan is a living and growing coalition whose mission is to spread the message of the Constitution and pass onto the next generation the true meaning of freedom. To accomplish this, our members have agreed to: asserting the rights given to us by our Creator, nurturing liberty, and fostering the principles that freed the United States of America from the clutches of tyranny.

The Troy Area Tea Party was founded in early 2010, and meets regularly in Troy, Michigan at the American-Polish Cultural Center. Our group serves the greater Troy area and surrounding cities including Bloomfield Hills, Birmingham, and West Bloomfield. We welcome members from all parts of southeastern Michigan.
