The group meets the first Friday of every month (unless otherwise noted) at the Chrin Community Center, 4100 Green Pond Road, Palmer, PA 18045 at 7 p.m. Our website address is www.lvtp.org
The mission of the LVTP is to educate our members and the Lehigh Valley community about our unalienable individual rights and limited government as defined by the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution so that they become involved in their government for the purpose of protecting and defending these rights.
The Lehigh Valley Project 9-12/Tea Party Group is a non-profit, non-partisan, pro-active organization, dedicated to the education of our members and citizens about constitutionally limited government and many of the important issues of the day including taxes/spending/debt, healthcare reform, illegal immigration, the Second Amendment, energy policy and more. Our mission, through community education and public activism, is to restore America through the preservation of unalienable Individual Rights as established by the Declaration of Independence, thereby returning government to the limits placed on it by the Constitutions of the United States and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
As part of the 9-12 Project, The Lehigh Valley Tea Party is rather unique in that we base our activities on the 9 Principles and 12 Values. Amongst these are a belief in God, the right to life, liberty and the pursuit (not guarantee) of happiness, the understanding that the government works for us, honesty, thrift, voluntary charity, hard work, and personal responsibility. Though belief in all of these principles is not required for membership, conviction in at least seven of them provides enough commonality for us to rally behind the cause.
