100+ Patriots meeting monthly to plan campaign and election events, discuss candidates, educate ourselves and others, discuss issues, communicate with our representatives regarding pending legislative actions.

We are a grassroots, family oriented group dedicated to renewing the American spirit within our community! It is our hope that together we can: • EDUCATE ourselves and others on local and national issues through speakers and existing resources • NETWORK with other like minded organizations, strength in numbers • SHARE solutions with ourselves, our community, and our legislators • ELECT sound conservatives, we won’t endorse, but will help to find the right candidates • MONITOR all levels of government and hold them accountable and demand transparency • RENEW the American Spirit through an understanding of our founding fathers, documents, and symbols

Brand new group, first, focus on educating ourselves on the Constitution, engaging our representatives to recognize that they are to do the will of the people, not the will of themselves, and make Federal, State and Local governments live within their means like the rest of us.

The mission of the Lapeer County Tea Party Patriots is to engage citizens and provide avenues for participation in the political process. Our goals are to prevent wasteful spending of tax dollars, to reduce the size of government and its bureaucracies, and to hold accountable those we elect to represent us. This will be accomplished by Attracting, Informing, and Mobilizing all who share these goals, regardless of political affiliation.

We are an active extension of the Tea Party of West Michigan (www.teapartyofwmi.org) and a member of the Michigan Tea Party Alliance (www.michiganteapartyalliance.com).

Branch of Tea Party of West Michigan for Manistee County. A non-partisan community gathering of concerned citizens who wish to return common sense and fiscal responsibility to our government. We strive to educate ourselves and raise awareness of others. Very simply, we want our elected representatives to adhere to the constitution and return the power to the people.

Just the beginning of the next Revolutionary movement in this country. It is time to TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK. Quoted from the Declaration of Independence: "That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness." What more needs to be said.
