We The People of Highlands County Florida

Mission statement: The purpose of We the People of Highlands County, FL is to provide for information exchange, education and open discussion of topics of special interest to our residents. Topics may include, for example: health care, immigration, global warming, the environment, taxes, screening of candidates, and big government, as well as planning for crises and disasters, and other issues of interest to our community. These gatherings can include invited speakers, information presentation, panel debates and facilitated discussions. Our intent is to motivate our citizens to become actively involved in the selection of candidates, follow-on election and interactions with our federal, state and local representatives.
