Larry posted an update in the group Washington Washington State constituents hear from Senator, Patty Murray. While the Senate was in recess, she traveled around the State gathering stories to use in support of her progressive agenda. High on her list is getting funds for educating the workforce. She says there are 52,000 jobs in our State that are vacant because nobody has the skills to do them. (?) She says she is working hard to fix that and now that she is the Chairman of the Senate Budget Committee, she will be right in the middle of the decision making for spending our tax dollars. ($!) Remember, we have gotten along for the past several years without the Senate passing a budget. There is no need to balance what you do not have. Isn’t that right? According to Murray, her new role as Chairman of the Budget Committee will not be to just deal with the deficit. Oh no, her task is to take the stories she has heard back to D.C. and use them to fight for increased investments. (?$!!!) Yes, that translates into more taxes and less cuts in spending.

Another item high on Murray’s agenda is Comprehensive Immigration Reform. To the liberal way of thinking, this is not taking jobs away from US citizens and giving them to amnestied illegal aliens. It is an overlooking of the letter of the law in order to make certain people feel and fare better. While home on recess, Murray arranged some roundtable meetings with local immigration reform advocates and garnered some more stories to use in D.C. Murray said it is not the reports, stats and data, which motivate her on this issue. What moves her is not the facts, but heartbreaking stories about “dreamers” who cannot go to college, families who are torn apart, and small businesses that are held back from success by a system that does not work for them. Murray believes that after the November election, it is clear to all of us, including congress, that it is time to move forward and ensure the benefits of “opportunity and inclusion” equally to all in our country.

One thing that Senator Murray always mentions is her efforts to support our veterans. This has been the bread and butter of her political career. No matter what else is going on locally, nationally or internationally, this plank has held her up in all her campaigns. Naturally, while home on recess she arranged to attend another “roundtable” event and talked about training and job placement opportunities for veterans. Murray is no longer the Chairman of the Veterans Affairs Committee but she vowed to continue helping veterans by funneling funds for them via the Senate Budget Committee. ($!) She wants to work for more benefits for vets and those that hire them.

The last thing mentioned in the Senator’s Newsletter was her attendance at the luncheon for the Columbia River Economic Development Council. Why this? Because it is the “single largest investment we can make in this region’s economic development”. ($) It was a free lunch and hog heaven for big government tax and spenders. Overall, there was not a solitary sympathetic line in the Senator’s Newsletter concerning constitutionally limited government, fiscal responsibility, or free markets.

Anthony Mucciolo posted an update in the group Washington Is it Fair? By any stretch of one’s imagination, is it fair that our Congress and the Obama administration try to suck every available dime from Americans while sending multiple billions to nations abroad? Can they possibly convince the most uneducated simpleton in America that they are representing the best interests of our country when they gouge our own people year after year?

How is it that I, a simple minded American, can think of this solution, and the minds of these Harvard and Yale graduates are struggling with answers? Here’s my simple minded solution – If 100 billion dollars is needed – why not inform the 50 + countries that receive our money every year that they will be receiving up to 2 billion dollars less this year because America needs its resources? Is my idea insane? Is my intellect too limited to comprehend the magnitude of the situation?

I’m a Real Estate Broker, and I have become aware that billions of potential dollars are not coming into the treasury from unused and unprofitable government owned real estate. Why are they turning us citizens upside down for a few extra dollars instead of hiring someone to lease and or sell unused and/or unnecessary property holdings? It’s wasteful and unprofitable! They have allocated five million dollars to study goldfish!

I have friends who work at Boeing who marvel at how they charge the government as much as $250-$350 for a wrench and a screw driver!! Government can’t find more than 100 billion dollars - simply can’t account for it – so they want us to make up the losses. Our government is wasting billions and billions of dollars or preventing these monies from coming into the treasury while telling America that everyone needs to pay their fair share. People on welfare and the lower income wage earners pay no taxes at all. But if we did away with the federal income tax and only taxed those items purchased by the public, everyone will have a little skin in the game. By the way, you can find this suggestion in the Federalist Papers written more than 200 years ago. I didn’t go to Harvard or Yale, yet in my lowly intellectual state of mind I can find solutions!

Speaking of taxes – Are real estate agents the only ones who can comprehend that most people can actually afford to pay the mortgage note they signed at closing? For example: Let’s just say that a middle income family obtained a $200,000 mortgage at 5% interest. His mortgage note would be approximately $900 per month for 30 years. But the mortgage company wants an additional 1/12 of the Homeowners insurance and 1/12 of the taxes added to the $900 every month for a total of what could easily be $1500-$1800 per month depending on the taxes. Property taxes continue to rise and mortgage payments continue to escalate until we can no longer afford the payments. We’re losing our homes to the local and state tax man.

Again, am I one of only a few that gets it? Maybe I should start a Political Action Committee and ask people to make donations to help me get into Congress. At least I would fight for lowering the tax rates and increasing revenue by leasing office space, farms, etc. Then again, if my intellect is so low, that may not be a good idea.

Anthony Mucciolo posted an update in the group Washington For those who hold out hope for real change, this will be well worth your reading, and sharing. We need a New Revitalized Republican Party, and every conservative and libertarian who aspire to run for the Congress and the Senate in 2014 will most likely defeat their counterparts if they include all or most of these positions in their platform. The people want us to run a positive campaign – telling them what we stand for, and what we will do to change the future of America – rather than lambasting our opponents. WE are a people desirous of a limited federal government, but we need a definitive plan: For example, what is our “Plan for reducing the tax burden?” We can advance a plan advocating these first 5 positions:

1. financial responsibility and accountability insuring that all investments made with tax payer funds be examined and decided on the basis of a sound business plan, adequate capital investment of its partners and stock holders, and the expectation of long-term success; and further, that all profits, interest, earnings on property and securities from whatsoever source are proportioned back to the states and the taxpayers;

2. demanding and receiving from all nations to whom we provide security, payment for the expenses incurred by our government and its taxpayers to furnish them with our military personnel, equipment, ordinance, and safe quarters while on their lands; and to further insure the paid medical care of all wounded in action both short term and permanent, coupled with a sustainable monthly allowance to support their families, and paying a delegated amount to the families of all killed in action, or as a result of being stationed on their land;

3. imposing work demands upon all prisoners sentenced to incarceration for more than 90 days, to provide for their detention expenses, daily necessities, and to provide for the welfare of their dependents; actions that will greatly diminish the tax burden on the American people;

4. taxation on the purchase and consumption of goods rather than personal or business incomes, a principle supported by Alexander Hamilton in the 14th Federalist paper;

5. eliminate the Department of Education and restore to the states their proper right to exercise full oversight and controls over the education and curricula of all educational institutions within its jurisdictions;

6. restoration of religious expressions and practice without hindrance;

7. the right to bear arms in every city and state in the union for our self protection without unnecessary restraint and limitation, for the purpose of securing our persons and property from both foreign and domestic terrorism and threats; excepting only the right to disarm those who are, or become, members of known and recognized terrorist groups and gangs;

8. the security as before provided for all generations in the Bill of Rights, and a government transparent to, and accountable to, the people and Congress of the United States.

9. that all laws, regulations, taxes, and restrictions imposed on the citizens must be equally obligatory and enforceable on every member and employee of the federal government and its assigns without exception.

These policy positions are firmly embodied in the duties, obligations, and responsibilities inherent in the laws of fiduciary responsibility and trusteeship which was made incumbent upon the federal government when our forefathers “vested” certain cherished financial trusts, invaluable sovereign and sacred rights, and other “treasures” of great value to the states, they placed under its protections; whose duty it is to protect, defend, and secure these certain and valued rights and trusts committed to them and enumerated in the document we refer to as the Constitution of the United States.

Therefore, I submit to the peace-loving people of this district, and this state that no one entrenched in the foxholes of government domination is going to “give back” the rights they have usurped for their own enrichment. IT BECOMES THEREFORE, ENCUMBENT UPON US, the Common People, TO REPLACE those in the Congress and Senate who have not left their secure foxholes, have not condemned the usurpation of the people’s rights and liberties, have not attempted to restrain the appropriation of additional powers from the states, and have not taken steps to limit the powers of the government, nor have begun to initiate action to restore our sacred rights, even those who have enriched themselves at the expense of the governed.
Of particular mention, we must examine the record of those who profess themselves to be conservative Republicans, and determine if they have STOOD THEIR GROUND in DEFIANCE of these illegal and unconstitutional acts, or caved in to the demands of this administration to further encroach upon and usurp our rights; and if it be determined they have not stood their ground in defense of the sacred trust committed to their keeping, THEY MUST, of NECESSITY, ALSO BE RESPLACED.

I am advocating for the election of individuals committed to supporting and defending the principles and the sacred confidence originally vested by our forefathers in the federal government: individuals who will engage in a strong, determined, yet peaceable means of restoring our government to its proper place of strength in matters foreign and domestic.

Of grave importance, they must immediately begin to create a stable environment aimed at alleviating the fears of the electorate who have begun to question the government’s loyalty to uphold the sacred fiduciary trust delegated to it by the people.

It is reported that our government is preparing the military and police for a national revolt. If this is true, I submit that the fear and apprehension within the hearts of Americans losing hope of a bright and successful future for themselves and their children is well documented by the administration. Otherwise, why the preparation? But should a government wary of revolt prepare to kill its own citizens instead of making the changes necessary to promote the peace and general welfare of its citizens? Is our government going to mimic the insufferable tragedies upon us that King Assad of Syria, is waging against his own people -choosing to kill his own people rather than give way to progressive change? Is this the future we envision for ourselves and our loved ones?

Revolution may be at our doorsteps, but do we welcome it? Do we support an uprising that will devastate our nation and bring death and misery to its citizens; or do we make every attempt to deter violence and put the people at rest? We must breathe the fresh air of a legitimate hope and change policy in an attempt to restore the hope that our government will be restored. That our policies will bring about economic recovery and stability, a definite increase in employment opportunities, lower taxes, and establishing the bond of unity between a people that have been so divided against each other. This is the only way that I know of to avoid the much anticipated bloodshed.

Once again, the weight and burden is upon us, the people, to vote the opportunists out of office and to vote those among us into office who share our core values and virtues, and who desire the blessings of God upon our nation and our children to the third and fourth generations of those who believe in Him.
I have presented a peaceable plan of action that will not advance the violence the government is anticipating. As Congressman Paul Ryan was known to say many times, “WE CAN DO THIS!”

A major portion of this text was taken from a speech I gave before a Republican assembly when I ran for Congress in 1986. It was a message out of time, and will undoubtedly have a far greater influence if I were to give it today. Nevertheless, it is a positive message, and while we may make certain statements to point out the actions of those in government, we must refrain from using names and deliberate personal attacks. This is what we all desire, “Tell me what YOU are going to do to make a difference – We already know what the other isn’t doing, or DID!”

I would be more than honored to see the essence of this message being proclaimed by every candidate running for office in 2014, because I believe this message is timely, impossible to contradict or successfully dispute, and I am convinced if it is included in the platform of the New Revitalized Republican Party, the true Party of the People, it will result in many victories for Conservative Christians, Friends of Israel, and people of virtue of all faiths. If called upon, I would be honored to present this message personally before the citizens of your communities. But, it is far more important, of grave importance, to get this message into the hands of those who would be faithful candidates and elected officials for federal office in 2014. If you believe this is the message for today, then spread the word as quickly and with as much energy as you possess. Let this be our charge, the conviction of our hearts, “We must have the majority in the Senate and in the House!”

Thank you and God bless all your efforts and successes.

Rev. Anthony Mucciolo

I believe, that if ANY (Reps or Dems) undermine our Constitution, State or Federal, or manage our States finances poorly, the one/s responsible for voting us in that direction should be fired.

These are judical issues, not emotional whims of the population. The State manages us with laws, we need to manage them the same way.

CA - Senator Diane Feinstein will move forward on a proposed senate bill that would greatly infringe on the right of the people to keep and bear Arms.

She request that the previous act be reinstated and given more teeth. She plans on doing this quickly in the month of January 2013.

As an American, I feel this to be an act of overreaching power by the federal government, and not the original intent of the Declaration of Independence, or the Constitution of the United States of America.

The common sense approach must take the forefront of all discussions, and not over reaching emotions.

I have several weapons, all legally purchased, I also have a concealed weapons permit from two states. As a responsible American, and prior military service which includes a family history in this country since the 1620's; we believe in defending all people that stand firm on the principles our freedoms were founded on.

It's with this in mind I propose the following considerations:

1. Don't call it gun control; but gun safety.

2. No sale of weapons where background checks are not conducted.

3. Allow concealed weapons carry in all states with same reasonable checks with nationwide standard.

4. Weapons education and training must be required for anyone who carries or purchases one.

5. Gun safes a must for all gun owners.

6. Magazines for all rifles/long guns need only be twenty rounds; for pistols 10 round capacity, greater than this should fall under the federal firearms license.

7. Do not call semi-autos assault weapons, only full automatic weapons should be placed in this category.

We will be prepared to take this matter to the Supreme Court of the United States. It will be proven that the original intent of the Founding Fathers was not just about hunting or sport shooting.

It must be said in these terms:

" Resistance to sudden violence for the preservation not only of my person, my limbs, and life, but of my property, is an indisputable right of nature which I never surrendered to the public by the compact of society and which, perhaps I could not surrender if I would..." John Adams, U.S. President, Signer of the Declaration, and the Bill of Rights.

Also it is said that Clarence Thomas, U.S. Supreme Court Justice stated the following.

"As I have traveled across the country, I have been astounded just how many of our fellow citizens feel strongly about their constitutional rights but have no idea what they are, or for that matter, what the Constitution says. I am not suggesting that they become Constitutional scholars--whatever that means. I am suggesting, however, that if one feels strongly about his or her rights, it does make sense to know generally what the Constitution says about them. It is at least as easy to understand as a cell phone contract--and vastly more important."

In Closing, my deepest sympathy to all who have suffered loss, it is tragic for the loss of any life...

Respectfully,

SFC Mikeal S. SouthWorth, USA, Ret.
Dear Mr. SouthWorth,

Thank you for contacting me regarding the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. I appreciate hearing from you on this important issue.

All Washingtonians – and all Americans – offer our deepest condolences to the families of the 20 children and six school staff members who were killed in this senseless attack. Our thoughts and prayers are with the community of Newtown, as its residents heal from this incomprehensible tragedy.

This horrific attack highlights several issues that must be addressed promptly in order to better protect against such inexplicable violence. We need to get powerful assault weapons off our streets. And we need to strengthen services for the mentally ill and their families.

In the past, I supported the original Assault Weapons Ban and the Brady Bill, as well as the Youth Handgun Safety Act of 1993, which prohibits juveniles from possessing or receiving handguns. I look forward to work with my colleagues in the Senate to strengthen responsible legislation to rein in gun violence. We need to work to close the loopholes in existing laws that allow criminals and children to gain access to firearms contrary to the law's intention. One example is the well-known "gun-show loophole" which allows people to purchase firearms at gun-shows without undergoing the background check required when guns are bought from licensed dealers. Lastly, I believe we must support increased gun-safety and gun-use education.

I support the Second Amendment and the rights of law-abiding Washingtonians who own guns. I also remain focused on addressing the deeply troubling violence in this country and making our state and our country as safe as possible for all people, including our most vulnerable citizens, our children. I believe both of these goals are important and can be simultaneously accomplished through common-sense gun laws and stricter enforcement of existing laws.

Along with addressing gun violence, making services for the mentally ill and their families more accessible will encourage those suffering from mental illness to seek needed care and support. Mental health care is a critical component of our healthcare system and an individual's overall health status. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, approximately one in 17 Americans suffers from a seriously debilitating mental illness. I care deeply about mental health care and understand the important role behavioral health services play in the lives of both those who suffer from mental illness and their family and loved ones.

Thank you again for contacting me to share your thoughts on this matter. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future if I can be of further assistance.

Sincerely,
Maria Cantwell
United States Senator

If anyone missed this and has not yet signed the petition, please read the following and do so now...
and be sure to forward this to everyone you know... we still have over a week to make enough noise to be heard and make this happen...! Depending on what you do right now, "Bozo" may NOT get to "stay" in OUR White House...!

as you know, a president is NOT elected by popular vote; he/she is elected by the Electoral College...
and the College will NOT meet until Dec. 17th, this year. IF just 17 states "withhold" their Electoral College vote, it then falls to the HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES (not the senate) to "select" the next president!!

This petition basically, tells your state Senators to advise their state's electors NOT to submit their vote!

We need to DROWN Congress with hundreds of thousands of these fax/petitions - -make OUR voices SO LOUD, we cannot be ignored! So, go there and do it NOW

Sign the petition at - http://tinyurl.com/b6jg72x
