Stonewall Brigade
The Stonewall Brigade of the Confederate Army during the American Civil War, was one of the most famous combat units in United States history. It was trained and first led by General Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson, a professor from Virginia Military Institute (VMI). His severe training program and ascetic standards of military discipline turned raw but enthusiastic recruits into an effective military organization. They were known for long marches and being able to defeat armies twice their size.
Just as they defended Virginia against tyranny, so shall we as Kansans defend our homes like a stone wall against the tyranny of big government.
