We are scheduled to be back in session for a compressed schedule in September and October. The real heavy lifting will be in the lame duck session in November and December, when the imminent end of the current Congress will force negotiations on several outstanding matters to be wrapped up.

He seems not to understand or have sympathy for people who build the economy in the private sector, suggesting that they are just lucky to have been helped along the way.

Throughout history, societies which value entrepreneurship have had the most vital economies. Stagnation is the natural result when successful people are denied credit for their accomplishments and are told, "You didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen."
