Anthony Mucciolo posted an update in the group Massachusetts Is it Fair? By any stretch of one’s imagination, is it fair that our Congress and the Obama administration try to suck every available dime from Americans while sending multiple billions to nations abroad? Can they possibly convince the most uneducated simpleton in America that they are representing the best interests of our country when they gouge our own people year after year?

How is it that I, a simple minded American, can think of this solution, and the minds of these Harvard and Yale graduates are struggling with answers? Here’s my simple minded solution – If 100 billion dollars is needed – why not inform the 50 + countries that receive our money every year that they will be receiving up to 2 billion dollars less this year because America needs its resources? Is my idea insane? Is my intellect too limited to comprehend the magnitude of the situation?

I’m a Real Estate Broker, and I have become aware that billions of potential dollars are not coming into the treasury from unused and unprofitable government owned real estate. Why are they turning us citizens upside down for a few extra dollars instead of hiring someone to lease and or sell unused and/or unnecessary property holdings? It’s wasteful and unprofitable! They have allocated five million dollars to study goldfish!

I have friends who work at Boeing who marvel at how they charge the government as much as $250-$350 for a wrench and a screw driver!! Government can’t find more than 100 billion dollars - simply can’t account for it – so they want us to make up the losses. Our government is wasting billions and billions of dollars or preventing these monies from coming into the treasury while telling America that everyone needs to pay their fair share. People on welfare and the lower income wage earners pay no taxes at all. But if we did away with the federal income tax and only taxed those items purchased by the public, everyone will have a little skin in the game. By the way, you can find this suggestion in the Federalist Papers written more than 200 years ago. I didn’t go to Harvard or Yale, yet in my lowly intellectual state of mind I can find solutions!

Speaking of taxes – Are real estate agents the only ones who can comprehend that most people can actually afford to pay the mortgage note they signed at closing? For example: Let’s just say that a middle income family obtained a $200,000 mortgage at 5% interest. His mortgage note would be approximately $900 per month for 30 years. But the mortgage company wants an additional 1/12 of the Homeowners insurance and 1/12 of the taxes added to the $900 every month for a total of what could easily be $1500-$1800 per month depending on the taxes. Property taxes continue to rise and mortgage payments continue to escalate until we can no longer afford the payments. We’re losing our homes to the local and state tax man.

Again, am I one of only a few that gets it? Maybe I should start a Political Action Committee and ask people to make donations to help me get into Congress. At least I would fight for lowering the tax rates and increasing revenue by leasing office space, farms, etc. Then again, if my intellect is so low, that may not be a good idea.

If anyone missed this and has not yet signed the petition, please read the following and do so now...
and be sure to forward this to everyone you know... we still have over a week to make enough noise to be heard and make this happen...! Depending on what you do right now, "Bozo" may NOT get to "stay" in OUR White House...!

as you know, a president is NOT elected by popular vote; he/she is elected by the Electoral College...
and the College will NOT meet until Dec. 17th, this year. IF just 17 states "withhold" their Electoral College vote, it then falls to the HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES (not the senate) to "select" the next president!!

This petition basically, tells your state Senators to advise their state's electors NOT to submit their vote!

We need to DROWN Congress with hundreds of thousands of these fax/petitions - -make OUR voices SO LOUD, we cannot be ignored! So, go there and do it NOW

They would not be able to buy it the second time around. DEMOCRATS MADE A PRACTICE OF RECALLS! THE PRESIDENT CAN BE RECALLED! Their voters scams would not work on this!

And the deficit! Where does the First Lady get off hiring 21 assistants and wasting our money? I can't wait for election day. Been republican all my life (61 yrs), now I'm Tea Party. Brown is worse than a rino, he is an opportunist with no moral or political conscience, and was elected, like Obama, by hiding his real self. He is like Captain Reneau in "Casablanca". He blows with the wind. True conservitives know that "the lesser of two evils" will never help our cause. I hope many of you will join me .

Tuesday, May 29, 2012

grade inflation3

Working on today’s show, and the astonishing “Everybody Gets A Cupcake” mentality in which the most common college grade today is an “A”—I ran across this article on grade inflation at America’s most pompous institute of self-important learning:

This is Harvard's dirty, little secret: Since the Vietnam era, rampant grade inflation has made its top prize for students -- graduating with honors - - virtually meaningless.

Last June, a record 91 percent of Harvard students graduated summa, magna, or cum laude, far more than at Yale (51 percent), Princeton (44 percent) and other elite universities, a Globe study has found.

While the world regards these students as the best of the best of America's 13 million undergraduates, Harvard honors has actually become the laughingstock of the Ivy League. The other Ivies see Harvard as the Lake Wobegon [sic] of higher education, where all the students, being above average, can take honors for granted.

It takes just a B-minus average in the major subject to earn cum laude -- no sweat at a school where 51 percent of the grades last year were A's and A- minuses.

What makes this story special? Check the dateline: “Sunday, October 14, 2001”

And you wonder why college degrees cost more than ever, and are worth less than ever.

Then again, Harvard HAD to lower their standards. How else to explain “Professor” Elizabeth Warren?

Let's make it a point to get Obama's grades and review our two presidential candidates as job applicants for the position of leader of the most powerful and greatest country in the free world. We'll let the voters decide which applicant they want to lead their country. We'll even look past Obama's admitted drug-induced stupor during years of his college experience. Why he's so brilliant that even in a drug-induced stupor, I'm sure he probablly has better grades than Romney. How about it Barrack Hussein?

*The Special Commission on County Governance is holding another meeting this evening: Wednesday, January 4, 2012, 6:30 PM – Barnstable County Superior Court Building, Room 11/12. Among the topics on the agenda are: Revenues: Discussion of unused revenue capacity of county and discussion of potential for new revenues.

I hate to say this folks, but in all liklihood that means NEW and MORE TAXES are going to be levied upon the people of Cape Cod if the Special Commission succeeds in dramatically and unnecessarily expanding the size, scope and role of the Cape Cod, Barnstable County Regional Government!!! “They will be accepting public comment tonight as well…hint, hint…”
