Stick to the Sequester

PASSION: In August 2011, the American people pressured Congress to stop over spending. Congress cut a deal to kick the can down the road. Congress and the President passed a law that gave them until 2013 to cut spending or else sequestration - automatic, across-the-board spending cuts - would go into effect.
Now as the March deadline is upon us, Congress and the President have failed. The so-called Super Committee formed to cut spending failed. Congress has failed to pass spending cut. And the President has failed to stop over spending. And now the Washington politicians are trying to scare the public so they can keep over spending our money.
ACTION: We need to keep the pressure on Congress to stop over spending. The Washington politicians have proven they will do ANYTHING they can to avoid cutting spending. Tell them to stick to the spending cuts in the sequester. It is roughly .02 for every dollar the federal government spends. Families have to balance their budgets and now it is time for Congress to stop over spending. Please call your Representative and tell them to stick to the sequester. Then come back to this page and call both Senators.
