The First Amendment: For Friends and PR Disasters Only

Last week, WWII veterans made news for pushing past asinine barriers set up by the Administration to “protect” against people visiting the World War II Memorial. After two days of horrific public relations, the Administration retreated, citing the First Amendment. However, add the upcoming union-backed immigration to the Veterans’ catastrophe, and it becomes clear that the First Amendment only applies if you cause a PR fiasco, or are allies of the Obama Administration: Susana Flores, a spokesperson for the rally, confirmed for the Washington Examiner that the Park Service will allow the event to take place under the group's rights granted by ...

Day 12: Urge 10 Friends to “Like” Tea Party Patriots on Facebook

We are a mere dozen days from Election Day, and the principles of the Tea Party appear to be gaining ground around the country! More and more people are realizing that fiscally sound principles, not parties, are what’s important to make our country more economically prosperous. Thank you for making this a reality! We hope you are still making 25 calls a day to undecided voters. If you aren’t, please sign up here and start – we need everyone on board to make this a successful effort. It is absolutely critical to make sure as many undecided voters are reached before November 6. The other thing we urge you to do is tell 10 of your ...

Day 14 Countdown – E-mail five friends asking them to participate in the Call From Home Program

We are two weeks out from Election Day, when Americans will decide if we will keep going toward big, centralized government, or go back to free markets and limited government. Will we value individual liberty and the wisdom of the people, or allow government bureaucrats to control the most important decisions of our lives from cushy Washington offices? All across the country, Tea Party Patriots are putting in the hard work of making sure Americans are educated on how individual liberty is best for our country. Thousands of grassroots activists are making calls, running Get Out The Vote events, and launching other significant efforts. Well, today ...

Day 21 – Ask 10 Friends to “Like’ Tea Party Patriots on Facebook

We are exactly THREE WEEKS from Election Day. Between phone calls, Get Out The Vote events, and other great efforts by thousands of Tea Party Patriots across the country, the principles of smaller government and free markets are being spread wide and far. Unfortunately, as you all know, the work is not done. Tonight is the second Presidential debate, and tomorrow is the Patriot House Party at over 2,000 homes. The Parties will highlight The Determinators, Tea Party Patriots’ first original film. If you haven’t set yourself up for a House Party, find out if your fellow local Tea Partiers are having one and join them! From now through the ...

Day 22- Ask 5 More Friends and Family to Attend your House Party

It’s coming! Two days from now, over 2,000 grassroots activists will participate in the second House Party for Tea Party Patriots this year. This House Party will, as you know, star the first film produced by Tea Party Patriots, called The Determinators, which features experts in the American, British, Canadian, and other health care systems, and explain how the President’s health care law brings many of the flaws in those nations – such as rationing – to the American health care system. While jobs are the number one concern of Americans, it is clear the American people oppose the health care law for more reasons than one blog post can ...

Day 23 – Invite 5 friends on Facebook to join the Call from home program

We are now officially three weeks and two days away from Election Day, and only two days away from the second Presidential debate! All across the country, Tea Party Patriots are working hard to make sure our principles are heard loud and clear on November 6, and we couldn’t be more grateful. We are also well under way with our Call From Home Program, which many grassroots activists have jumped on board to support. Unfortunately, our goal of 25,000 calls per day has not been reached, so we’re asking you to do one extra thing today, in addition to making calls: ask five friends to join you in the Call From Home Program. None of us want to wake ...

Day 26 – Email 10 Friends – Tell them why we need to support Tea Party Values

Yesterday, Tea Party Patriots sent an e-mail to supporters and members asking this important question: Will you make sure that you don’t find yourself waking up on November 7th thinking you could have done more? Well, today is 26 days away from Election Day, and the same question applies: will you make sure you do all you can to promote Tea Party principles in this election? With both parties deficient with regards to these principles, will you do what it takes to make certain the dial swings back towards balanced budgets, constitutionally-limited government, and free markets? We hope so, and would like you to e-mail 10 of your friends to tell ...

Girlfriends, Let’s Talk About How to Convert a Democrat

Think movie scene: a restaurant anywhere in America. A group of five female friends are sitting around talking — three are Democrats, two are Republicans. At a table with no salt shaker and a Michelle Obama-approved menu, the Democrats’ conversation starts like this: Can you believe the Republicans are taking away our contraception? This dialogue quickly deteriorates into a misinformed, Obama-fueled fiasco: the wicked “one percent,” the “fairness” of free health care, equal outcomes rather than equal opportunities, etc. The Republican women look at each other with an unspoken, secret “OMG,” yet they do what conservatives do ...

Chambliss and Isakson: Friends of Fannie and Freddie

One of Georgia's senators cosponsored an amendment to raise the federal home-loan guarantee limit, and both voted for it.  Georgia's Republican senators, Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson, crossed the aisle October 20 to provide necessary votes for a measure to increase Fannie's and Freddie's limits for home loan guarantees. The amendment to an appropriations bill required the support of 60 senators to avoid the Senate's bill-killing filibuster rule. All Democrats and both Independents voted for passage but were eight votes short. Eight Republicans--including Chambliss and Isakson--stepped into the breach, voted "yea" and the amendment ...
