The future of Obamacare ‘insurer bailouts’ is not looking good

President-elect Donald Trump is bad news for insurance companies who hope that Congress will bail them out with changes to two Obamacare programs. The programs sunset at the end of this year, but conservatives are staying vigilant against the possibility that Congress will try to use the lame-duck session to give insurers more money. Insurance companies have spent millions lobbying lawmakers to keep the risk corridor and reinsurance programs. The Daily Signal reported: Conservative groups like Freedom Partners and Republican lawmakers have cautioned that the Justice Department could attempt to settle with insurance companies and tap into ...

Judge Napolitano shows how completely incompetent Hillary Clinton was when secretary of state

Judge Andrew Napolitano during a recent “Fox & Friends” appearance reminded viewers of a damning piece of information Hillary Clinton’s then-chief-of-staff Cheryl Mills shared, using the information to then paint a vivid picture of just how incredibly inept Hillary Clinton was when she was secretary of state on President Obama’s watch. The Daily Caller has the story: Clinton’s chief of staff while secretary of state, Cheryl Mills, revealed in a deposition that Clinton “exclusively” used a BlackBerry, not a laptop, desktop or a tablet to communicate electronically. Appearing on Fox News’s “Fox & Friends” on Thursday, ...

Call to thank your senators for giving us a voice in the direction of the Supreme Court!

President Obama is trying to bully the Senate into confirming Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court as part of his plan to stack the Court with a liberal majority that will undermine our most cherished rights. Merrick Garland would be the fifth vote on the Supreme Court to gut our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms and empower unaccountable bureaucrats at agencies like the IRS and EPA – he must be stopped! Even the liberal New York Times admits a Supreme Court with Merrick Garland would be “the most liberal in decades.” Fortunately, Senate Republicans, led by Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), are holding firm and ...

House conservatives rip into Obama’s IRS commissioner over illegal immigrants’ questionable use of SSNs

House conservatives during a hearing this week grilled IRS Commissioner John Koskinen over the agency washing its hands of illegal immigrants apparently stealing social security numbers to obtain jobs and then file taxes using an IRS-issued taxpayer ID. The Hill has the full story: "What I find absolutely outrageous is your suggestion that when it comes to illegal immigrants, the IRS couldn't really be bothered when it comes to these folks stealing Americans' Social Security numbers," said Rep. Sam Johnson (R-Texas). "And I think that's wrong, and it ought to stop now." The issue involves cases in which illegal immigrants used others' ...

We need your help stopping Obama from stacking the Supreme Court with another liberal Justice!

With the tragic passing of Justice Antonin Scalia last month, President Obama and his liberal allies are attempting to put another liberal Justice on the Supreme Court. It is a very rare occurrence in our nation’s history for a Supreme Court Justice to be confirmed in an election year for a vacancy that arose that same year. In fact, it’s been more than eight decades since this last occurred.  But the Democrats are determined to rush the confirmation process to shift the entire direction of the Supreme Court – which will have lasting and significant consequences for our country for the next several decades. The Left has a very checkered past ...

Report: Federal officials who created online Obamacare marketplace received more than a dozen written warnings

Federal officials tasked with creating the Obamacare online insurance marketplace received 18 written warnings the project was being mismanaged but went ahead with the project anyway, according to a report from the Obama administration’s inspector general. The Washington Post has the details: The warnings included a series of 11 scathing reviews from an outside consultant — among them a top-10 list of risks drawn up in the spring of 2013 that cited inadequate planning for the website’s capacity and deviations from usual IT standards. A few months before, then-Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius had hired another consultant ...
