HEALTHCARE: IRS Seeks 9,000 New Employees as It Prepares to Enforce Obamacare “As millions of Americans brace for tax season, the Internal Revenue Service is requesting a $2 billion boost to its budget and 9,000 new employees as it prepares to enforce Obamacare’s tax provisions. President Obama released his $4 trillion budget proposal for fiscal year 2016 this week, which includes $13.9 billion for the Internal Revenue Service. The agency asked Congress for close to $2 billion more for operations than last year—a 16 percent increase. The billions of dollars will help the agency bolster its staff by adding more than 9,280 full-time employ...

Free Market Revolution: How Ayn Rand’s Ideas Can End Big Government – Yaron Brook and Don Watkins

Free Market Revolution: How Ayn Rand’s Ideas Can End Big Government – Yaron Brook and Don Watkins “Free Market Revolution will raise the ire of every statist, socialist and crony capitalist. Rand understood – as do the authors of this all-too-timely book – that free markets are, indeed, moral while Big Government is manifestly not.”—Steve Forbes “A powerful and unapologetic case in support of capitalism. For those who think more government will solve our nation’s problems, Free Market Revolution will open your eyes. For those who can already see the light, it will sharpen your vision.”–Peter Schiff, CEO of Euro Pacific ...

HEALTHCARE: Obama administration predicts significantly lower health-care enrollment “The Obama administration predicted Monday that the number of people with health coverage through the Affordable Care Act’s insurance marketplaces will be significantly lower by the end of next year than previous government estimates. Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Mathews Burwell announced that, by the end of 2015, 9 million to 9.9 million Americans probably will be in health plans sold through the federal and state insurance exchanges created under the health-care law. The administration’s expectations are as much as roughly 30 percent ...

HEALTHCARE: Thanks to Obamacare, Health Costs Soared This Year http://dailysignal.com/2014/10/13/thanks-to-obamacare-health-costs-soared-this-year/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social   An Obamacare October surprise? “Obamacare premiums aren’t rising everywhere. They just have a way of finding the states with the biggest Senate races. And that could be very bad timing for Democrats in two of the party’s key contests. Double-digit rate hikes for individual health insurance plans have become an issue in the Louisiana and Iowa Senate races over the past week, where the Republican candidates are hammering their Democratic ...

One more way Obamacare hurts the American people

A new report shows[1] just how much Obamacare taxes are going to hurt workers. The National Business Group on Health reported this week that companies – in a desperate attempt to avoid a 40 percent “Cadillac Tax” – are looking for ways to shift those costs to consumers. The tax is slated to be implemented in four years, and will affect plans that spend more than $10,200 per employee.  While employees will be given wellness incentives to lower their health care costs, employers are moving toward shifting to plans with higher deductibles or using health savings accounts. Another route employers will likely pursue, according to this report, ...

Obamacare’s Procrustean Bed

Whether you have catastrophic coverage or a “Cadillac” plan, it’s a no-win situation when it comes to keeping it. According to the Administration, it’s either too lacking or too generous, and only those that fall within ACA-compliance are allowed. Unfortunately, this is far from ancient myth for many Americans, including Jeri, a California mother of two who is losing her wonderful coverage.   “Remember when Obama said, "If you like your current health care plan, you can keep it"?  WRONG!! My company is no longer offering a PPO plan effective 2015. They stated it's due to rising healthcare costs and the looming 40% excise tax on ...

Obama blinks on sequestration

On Sunday, Tea Party Patriots’ legislative expert Bill Pascoe explained to local coordinators how sequestration had set up a battle between the GOP and the Democratic Party on who would blink first: when the public finally saw the alleged impact of sequestration – in this case, the airline delays – would the GOP compromise on sequestration, or would Democrats allow more flexibility for the spending reductions? Last week Democrats, particularly President Obama, blinked. As Bill explained, the House and Senate passed legislation to allow flexibility for the FAA’s implementation of sequestration. This has Democrats frustrated, and, as of ...
