HEALTHCARE: Congressional Research Service: There's No Magic Pot Of Obamacare Medicaid Expansion Money “A recent report from the Congressional Research Service (CRS) confirms what many policy experts have known for some time: states that reject Obamacare’s Medicaid expansion aren’t sending that Medicaid expansion money to other states. Instead, that money is simply never spent. This revelation is important because numerous governors and state lawmakers from across the country have used this argument to justify their support for expanding Medicaid through Obamacare. However, as CRS succinctly explains, these arguments are entirely frivolo...

Straw Man on the Border: Democrats Shame Concerned Citizens

The surge of illegal immigrants crossing the southern border has become the prominent issue in America. Thousands of children and adults are being resettled to facilities throughout the nation until their case is reviewed, or they are reunited with a family member. Communities are now being forced to absorb a massive influx of unanticipated, destitute people. Congressional Democrats have wasted no time in vilifying Americans voicing concerns about the financial burdens and health risks 57,000 – and counting - illegals may impose. Name-calling of “nativists” and “isolationists,” has become the opening dialogue of Democrats to both liberal ...

This latest email shows former IRS employee Lois Lerner at least knew here agency had it coming. The email is dated April 9, 2013- less than two weeks after the IRS inspector general unearthed the tea party targeting practices, but about one month before it became public.  In it, Lerner warned colleagues to be careful about what they included in emails. She also asked if the IRS’ internal messaging system could be searched by Congressional investigators. Lerner’s email to ...

The fight to protect free speech isn’t over

Last year, the Internal Revenue Service proposed new draft regulations that would have codified, in law, the political targeting carried out against non-profit conservative groups. In response, like-minded conservatives and fellow patriots around the country bombarded the agency with over 150,000 comments opposing the rules. You could call it, “righteous indignation.” Yesterday, we finally got a response[1] from the IRS. Yet, instead of reversing course on free speech-restricting regulations, the agency just decided to start its process over and rework the rules. Only this time, it will do so behind closed doors and without a public hearing. ...
