IRS agent recorded lying to pro-life group about rights

While most of the attention related to the IRS scandal has rightly focused on Tea Party and Patriot groups, a significant level of attention over the last few years was given to people adopting, pro-life groups, and at least one prominent organization supporting traditional marriage. While Tea Party Patriots does not take a position on any social issues, the implications of one agent’s actions should be concerning for all Americans. Wow — You’ll never believe what Sen. Harry Reid said 11 years ago – we even agree!

Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) is in hot water for apparently flip-flopping regarding his position on the role of the U.S. Senate in considering presidential nominees. "The duties of the United States Senate are set out in the Constitution of the United States. Nowhere in that document does it say the Senate has a duty to give presidential nominees a vote; it says appointments shall be made 'with the advice and consent of the Senate.' That's very different than saying that every nominee receives a vote," Sen. Reid said May of 2005 on the Senate Floor, C-SPAN footage shows. The U.S. Senate minority leader has been arguing the Senate is bound to ...

(VIDEO) Tea Party Patriots CEO Jenny Beth Martin’s Remarks from CPAC

Hello, CPAC! You know, the President of the United States last addressed this gathering eight years ago. Do the math – it was a different president then. As he sat in the Oval Office, preparing for that speech, he came across a phrase in the draft that confused him. So he asked, “What is this movement you keep talking about in the speech?” The speechwriter, stunned, responded. “Well, the CONSERVATIVE movement,” he answered. “You know, the one that started back in the sixties, when conservative groups first took root.” That apparently didn’t sit well with the President. “Let me tell you something,” he said. ...

HEALTHCARE: Congressional Research Service: There's No Magic Pot Of Obamacare Medicaid Expansion Money “A recent report from the Congressional Research Service (CRS) confirms what many policy experts have known for some time: states that reject Obamacare’s Medicaid expansion aren’t sending that Medicaid expansion money to other states. Instead, that money is simply never spent. This revelation is important because numerous governors and state lawmakers from across the country have used this argument to justify their support for expanding Medicaid through Obamacare. However, as CRS succinctly explains, these arguments are entirely frivolo...
