3 Days to Stop Obamacare
Yesterday, the U.S. Senate took a vote in defiance of the will of the American people. Instead of defunding Obamacare, a show vote took place that many Republicans hope will allow them to support funding while claiming they opposed it.
Because of this capitulation, the House is now looking to modify its own position and deny funding to only part of Obamacare. Our attention, therefore, must turn back to the House to make sure Members hold strong to stop Obamacare.
We have three days until Obamacare is all but permanent law. The House listened to thousands of Americans last week, and the Senate this week ignored thousands more. Let’s keep pushing and telling them what we want, not what special interests prefer.
Our last bastion for freedom is to keep the House strong. We need each and every one of you. YOU will decide what happens, whether the House capitulates yet again to big spending Congressional Leadership or hold strong. We the People must keep up pressure on Congress to make sure defunding actually takes place before October 1.
We the People have long stood against Obamacare. By defunding the law, Congress will give the rest of America the same relief big businesses, unions and other favored interests have already received from the Administration. This is why we fight – to remind Congress to treat us equally under the law.
After you call your Congressman, call the Senators who voted for cloture. Let them know you will hold them accountable in their next elections. If their phones are again unplugged, visit state-based offices and remind them they work for you, not President Obama and the special interests.
Highlighted below are the Senators who voted for cloture. Call your Congressman, and then call your Senators. Make sure they know we are watching them.
