1 Day to Stop Obamacare
This is it. By midnight tonight, Obamacare will either be funded or the government will go into its 18th partial shutdown since the mid-1970s.
In two straight votes, the House of Representatives has stuck with the American people, voting to first defund and then delay Obamacare. Having already rejected a bill that funded the entire government expect Obamacare, now the Senate must vote on the second Continuing Resolution offered by the house.
Many in the media and in Washington think the government will partially shut down if the House continues to stand strong. They blame the House, forgetting that the House has twice done its job to send bills to the Senate. They forget (or ignore) that the President has illegally delayed or offered exemptions for his special interest allies. And they also ignore how the Tea Party and our allies in Congress are specifically trying to keep the government open – both because partial slowdowns are not part of responsible governance and because much of Obamacare will still be implemented.
By doing so, the media misleads the American people.
We the People have long stood against Obamacare. By delaying the law, Congress will give the rest of America the same relief big businesses, unions and other favored interests have already received from the Administration. This is why we fight – to remind Congress to treat us equally under the law.
We need each and every one of you. YOU will decide what happens. Call your Senators, call your local media stations and organizations. Tell the Senate to hold strong and the media to report the facts.
Highlighted below are the Senators who voted to fund Obamacare last week. Call them and demand that this time, they stand with the American people, not their beltway buddies.
