Today’s Passion to Action: Make sure Congress keeps sequestration

For years, Congress has kicked the can down the road when it comes to fiscal responsibility. Today, we are urging you to call your Members of Congress as part of Tea Party Patriots’ “Passion to Action,” and tell them to hold strong on sequestration.
PASSION: In August 2011, the American people pressured Congress to stop over spending. Congress cut a deal to kick the can down the road. Congress and the President passed a law that gave them until 2013 to cut spending or else sequestration – automatic, across-the-board reductions to expected spending – would go in effect.
Now, with the March deadline only a few days away, Congress and the President have failed. The so-called Super Committee formed to cut spending failed. Congress failed to pass spending cuts, and both Congress and the President has failed to stop overspending. And now many in Washington are trying to scare the public so they can keep overspending our money.
ACTION: We need to keep the pressure on Congress to stop overspending. The Washington politicians have proven they will do ANYTHING they can to avoid cutting spending. Tell them to stick to the spending cuts in the sequester. It is roughly .02 for every dollar the federal government spends. Families have to balance their budgets and now it is time for Congress to stop overspending. Please call your Representative and tell them to stick to the sequester. Then come back to this page and call both of your Senators.
Sequestration is the first step in returning Washington to fiscal responsibility. We need you to do your part to make sure this first step holds true. Remember, Washington has already kicked the sequestration can down the road once. Passing the March 1 deadline does not mean the Beltway crowd can’t delay sequestration again at a later time.

The Republicans need to call Obama’s bluff and not give in to him!
Congress stay on track dont give in no more. Taxes
This is a win win for Obama. Why do you think he came up with the sequestration? Because he never thought the Republicans would turn it’s back on defense spending.
Obama gets his defense spending cuts and the Republicans gets blamed for any negative results from the sequestration.
Every time some liberal sees their checkstub with more taxes and less money then goes grocery shopping and pays more for less then stops at the gas station on the way home and pays more and the utilities rates go up Conservatism grows by one.
