Top Organization Promoting Tea Party Principles Growing Stronger
Today, Tea Party Patriots, the nation’s largest tea party organization, hit its $1 million goal as part of its 4 Years 4 Liberty “money bomb” 10-day fundraising campaign celebrating the four-year anniversary of the tea party movement. The effort featured a robust direct mail, email and telemarketing campaign.
“Four years ago Americans across the country came together to oppose fiscal irresponsibility and the federal government’s assault on our Constitution. Now, Tea Party Patriots across the country are pushing the movement ahead into its next phase as we build upon our victories,” said Jenny Beth Martin, National Coordinator of Tea Party Patriots. “Our activists, coordinators, supporters and support staff in states across the country are continuing to do the hard work of promoting our principles of fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government and free markets.”
In four years, Tea Party Patriots have moved the national debate in Congress and around the country from over-spending to cutting spending, from bailouts to balanced budgets, from listening to Washington consultants to listening to the American people. Their success in electing a large majority of tea party-minded representatives in 2010 is well-chronicled, as is their constant grassroots pressure on Members of Congress in passing fiscally responsible legislation. Activists assisted in the re-election of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker in the face of strong union opposition, and in 2012 flipped a notoriously “blue” Washington state legislature to one led by fiscally responsible representatives.
“We are building our ranks every day and looking forward to our best year yet,” said Martin.

We have lost some of our Tea Party Groups due to loss of leaders and meeting places. Some of us travel as much as 80 miles round trip to make meetings in a neighboring city. We are in the process of regrouping, but have been limited to meeting at outdoor rallies for the time being. As the Apple Valley Tea Party we cosponsored the Apple Valley Resistance Day Rally, ran ads on local radio and got our largest turn out for a rally last Saturday.
I attended the Tea Party Patriot meeting in Denver last year and was quite impressed with the Tea Party Patriots Organization and hope our group under new leadership will affiliate with Tea Party Patriots.
John, ask the host of the meetings to affiliate, and tell them about the TPP Local Coordinator Conference in Denver last summer. I attended it also, and agree, TPP has a lot to offer our Local Coordinators.

A recent national Rasmussen poll found the lowest levels of support for the Tea Party since they began asking questions about the movement several years ago. … Only 8% of those polled identified as members of the group. Rasmussen isn’t always the most reliable or transparent pollster, but the magnitude of the decline in support this poll represents is thought-provoking….
That may be the conversation at the national level, but here in Maine support for the Tea Party has remained remarkably steady over the past two years. That’s according to a series of public opinion polls conducted by the Maine People’s Resource Center …
30.8% of Mainers surveyed declared themselves to be supporters of the Tea Party in May of 2011 and 26.5% did the same in a poll conducted earlier this month, results that are within the margin of error for comparison between the two polls.

Congratulations on raising $1,000,000! I just hope you plan to put it to good use electing replacement Senators and House Reps who are distroyi g our Freedom and Constitution!
I keep getting a call from 404-891-5541. They never leave a message. The web seems to think it is from the tea party soliciting donations. Apparently a few people’s caller ID’s are saying TPP and that is how people are connecting the dots. That is a great way to lose supporters and make enemies.
