Tea Party Patriots Call for Secret Ballot so Members Can Vote Conscience on Next Speaker

Members Must be Free from Fear of Retribution
Today, Tea Party Patriots, the nation’s largest tea party organization, called for a secret ballot in the House for the next Speaker so Members can vote their conscience without fear of retribution from leadership.
“Through this ‘fiscal cliff’ crisis Congress has demonstrated once again its incapability of actually cutting government spending and preventing tax hikes. Republicans who stood on principle, and did not cave to political pressure instead should not be impeded from voting for a Speaker with whom they have confidence will help take the country in the right direction. The American people deserve nothing less than strong, conservative leadership,” said Jenny Beth Martin, National Coordinator of Tea Party Patriots.
“Members in the House must be able to vote for whom they think can stand firm for the principles they were elected to uphold, prevent the further erosion of the Constitution and slow the growth of government, without fear of retribution.”

What history do you refer to? Presidents have been re-elected before. Less people voted for President Obama’s re-election than for his election in 2007. Perhaps you are simply confused or intoxicated with idol worship. What say you?

To watch a man who has cut our workforce, impoverished our grandchildren, stood down our military and watched our Ambassador raped and murdered for political gain, and proven that gutter tactics work with gutter dwellers, in regards to politics, do victory laps while promiseing to wipe himself with our constitution Yes it is historic, it proves that racsism is a vital political asset, that it works so well that the decendants of slaves voted for An oversee’r and that the American educators have been pathetic for some time, sounds smurfy to me.

I predicted Boehner would re-elected from the start. It doesn’t mean I like it.
Wow, I just signed up today and if you’re an example of the people here at this organization attacking people, especially the TEA party, then I was grossly mistaken as to what this site was about. I thought this site was supposed to be a THOUGHTFUL organization that was CIVIL, RESPECTFUL and could get things done without lowering themselves to that of the liberal/progressive base.
But then, I could be wrong.

Many of the people who post here are not members. Their are trolls that make outrageous statements, just to discredit the posters here. Also the real work of the Tea Party isn’t the posts you find on this site and others. It is in adherence and accountability to the mission statements by the politicians that represent these views. Call/ write your legislators, sign petitions, educate yourself and vote.

House re-elects Boehner speaker
WASHINGTON (AP) – The House and Senate ushered in a new Congress Thursday, re-electing embattled Republican John Boehner speaker and hailing one of their own who returned a year after being felled by a stroke. The 113th Congress convened at 12 noon EST, the constitutionally mandated time, with pomp, pageantry and politics on both sides of the Capitol.
Well, we have a Democrat wearing a Republican costume as Speaker who capitulated to the Democrats who have no plan to pay for the government they created.
I’d say that spells doom….
We need to split the party now. Turn the majority over to the Democrats and fight for sanity in our government and the Constitution from the side of the line drawn in the sand where we know everyone is actually on our side.
I, for one, am diametrically opposed to what the Republican Party is doing today.

Are you sayiing take over the GOP or starrt a new party. There is talk several places about starting the Liberty Party.
We won’t be able to take over the GOP, and if we do, we’ll have to incorporate the RINOs. It’s best to start with people that are true and we know are on the side of sanity in government and the Constitution.
Later, of course, we’ll have to deal with the usual corrupting influences.
Jerry, Let’s be honest, the movement is waning. Americans are pretty fickle and only follow winners. We haven’t won since 2010, and the Republican party is too fragmented.
All these Tea Party groups are going in different directions. There is no unity.
If the decision to split the party is made, leadership will emerge than isn’t smothered by necessary subordination to Boehner for political purposes. That is what’s creating the confusioin.
Split the Republican Party and unity will occur.
I can think of more than a few members of Congress that will come and be the initial leadership.
We would not be splitting the GOP but leaving it. They are not about to say to the Tea Party, ” take half of everything”. We’d have to build a political party from the groud up. To do that you need to get people to focus on core ideas.
We’ll take half the representation in the first move whether they like it or not.
The RINOs will lose majority. They will have to live on the scraps Democrats give to the judas goats like they are.
Split the party. Save the constitutional republic. If we don’t split the party, there is no way the constitutional republic will survive. Why? Because money doesn’t grow on trees, and their plan is the exact same plan that collapsed every other government that used it in the history of civilization. We will not be the first exception in history.

All I can do is speak the truth as I see it, for an outfit that has been paraded through the gym with their briefs over their heads, the house republicrats sure seem to like the guy that set them up for it.
If congress has got that bad where the speaker is acting like child like our president, it wont help our country to have both men saying poor me. They need to make this country where people can make money and government does not need raises and hard workers can make this country better not take away from the hard worker.
Yes, that is what they need to do. But, that obviously is not their intent. They don’t even have a plan for government. What they are doiong is certain to collapse the government and end our existence. I don’t think they are idiots. They are aware of the effect of what they are doing.
The only way to save the constitutional republic is to split the party and draw a line in the sand defining the boundaries of government as defined in the Constitution.
If we dont’ fight for the Constitution in the halls of Congress, it is a certainty we will be fighting for the Constitution in the streets and fields. That is a certainty.
